Location : Its quite far from Haeundae Station but the guide instructions were helpful. We ate ice creams while leisurely finding our way! View : View was excellent. We can see Haeundae beach right from the hostel. We arrived to early so we ended up chilling at the rooftop with the beach in view. It was awesome Room : Room facilities are super basic.. Just beds..toilet and a desk with a hairdryer. No Tv. But there is a common room where you can have your food while watching tv and mingle with o.
all reviews » Popcorn Hostel was a very hip, fun place to stay for one week. The staff was so sweet and helpful and the rooms were sparse, but clean and comfortable. The gathering area is fantastic and a place where you can bounce tourist information around with other travelers. There is a communal full kitchen facility with a large refrigerator for storing food items (ie milk for coffee!) Guests are provided with eggs and a frying pan for cookung them, toast with butter and jelly and coffee. The location wa. Location is good. Tour sites not very far. Big lounge with very nice view, and kitchen for guest to cook. Owner also very helpful gave us guide on touring. A very nice samkehtang restaurant just behind the building. Abalone samkehtang yay! Shopping mall E-mart just 10mins walking distance. Buses to airport pick up point very near cost 7k won. With 5 of us we occupied the whole room and we love this place! The hostel was very quiet at night, we kept different hours to others. Access to a family room. The amount of communal space was great and very important to us as a family. Close to Haeundea beach is an asset. Little things like staff writing out the name of our destination in Korean to show the taxi drivers helped a lot!. The staff are very friendly and approachable. They are helpful and patient with all our requests. For example, we sent our clothes down for washing but were rushing off to the airport and so the clothes were a bit wet. Because of that, the staff did not charge us any money for washing the laundry and did not accept the money even after relentless attempts to "force" them to take the money. A group of my friends and myself stay at Popcorn and really enjoyed our time there. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, helping answer all the questions we had. The room was spacious and clean which had been decorated well. The communal area was airy and had great views of the city. If I were to visit Busan again I would definitely stay at this places again. The Popcorn Hostel is clean, convenient and incredibly accomodating. When I returned to the hostel, after dinner and drinks, there was a long table of patrons talking, eating and drinking together. It was wonderfully communal! They embrace the backpacker ethic of good value and community, so it's a good place to meet other folks while traveling through Busan. Wonderful English-spoken staff - especially Roy who was very helpful and friendly. The triple room we stayed on 11th floor was very nice with sea/city view. Very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Location is only 15 mins walking to subway station, 7 mins walking to airport bus stop at Novotel and 3-5 mins walking to the market. Excellent location close to the beach though very far from the main railway station and the International Ferry Port in the case you want to travel to Japan by the high speed ship. There is a kitchen that can be used and shared by the guests, and even you can keep your own food in a shared big freezer. We booked a family room for 4 pax but they gave us a room of 6 pax which was excellent ! The room was very spacious. My parents loved it ! Which prompted us to extend another night but unfortunately there was no room available but the Manager himself was very helpful as he helped us to find for other available hostels. Thank you !. It is clean, tidy and cozy! :) It is safe too for young travellers. There are many restaurants and convenient stores around the building so we don't have to worry if we have to buy something. I love the staff and the location. My bed is just next to the window and i can enjoy the sea view at night. So nice) The most important thing is it's very cheap but at the same time the service is excellent and everything is so clean. If i come to Busan again, i will still choose to stay here.)). This hostel is very close to Haeundae beach. The nearest subway station is only a 10-min walk. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. Their staff is very friendly. Rooms are very clean. Bathrooms are clean and big. We really had a pleasant stay. My Family really like the cleanliness and its location which is near to the beach and shopping area. Its near Haeundae subway station. Haeundae beach is very near and there are a lot of shops and a local market nearby. Popcorn hostel was fantastic- I've stayed in a few hostels (mostly in Japan though) and this one had great facilities, with very nice rooms (we had a private room). The staff were excellent. friendly staff, close to haeundae (within 5min walk), comfortable bed, big room, overall clean, with escalator, 10min walk to subway (or u can take two bus stops outside the hostel). Staffs are super nice and extremely helpful ! The single room is huge.Perhaps a reading lamp on the side of the bed will be a little something to improve. Will stay again next time. The hotel is near to ocean side. For swimmer it is very comfortable. The room is very clean and comfortable. And also you have to take off your shoes inside room very comfortable. Insufficient storage for non refrigerated food. Lack of places to put/ hang clothing in our room. Most westerners either drink black tea or coffee for breakfast, makes sense to provide tea bags if free coffee is available. Price for a family room was too high ... Worked out about $150.00 Australian dollars per night. Needed more rails in bathroom/ bedroom to dry towels and to hang wash bags. Tourist maps of area in English. If you're thinking you want a quiet night away, this isn't the place for you. That I couldn't stay longer. Nothing major - just the towel was too tiny. Poor breakfast, only eggs, coffee and toasts are offerd by the hotel, but you can cook your own lights meals in the common kitchen that you can share with the rest of the guests and eat it in the dinning room of the hotel. It is a bit far from the subway station. Apart from that, no problem :). Wifi is almost non existence in our room which is on 10th floor.And there is one thing that is highly missing in our room is somewhere to hang our clothes. If there add a clothes stand in the corner of the room with some hangers,I would rate a 10/10.Apart from these,we were satisfied with everything.If we ever come back to Busan,there is a good chance that I will choose this hotel again. Nothing. The TV in the room seem placed up high, lower it down would be better with low bed. The hostel is located in Hyundae, which is not in central Busan. There is alot to do at Hyundae, but if you want to do anything in central busan you'll have to travel on the subway which includes a change of stops. This was our fault for not figuring out what we wanted to do, and where we need to stay before we booked - not a criticism of the hostel at all. The coffee machine was out of order :(. breakfast has only bread and egg, coffee tastes bad, no shower gel, the toilet floor was wet when I first got in the room. Like everybody says REALLY towels are smaller than hair towels. The water heater system. It was hard to find and there was a lot of noise of people singing karaoke when we tried to sleep. The hallway leading to the room is a bit dark so it is rather troublesome while we go to our room. Need more breakfast options. We did not like the shower at all. The water alternated between cold and hot, very hot. It was challenging to take a bath. We forgot to bring an iron and the hostel didn't provide any iron to rent. nothing. Cleaning garbage basket is need daily and some furniture is also need for every room. We didn't found any chair or table in the room. Karaoke is below us. But still bearable. There is a karaoke bar downstairs .It is noisy if you want to sleep early. The breakfast is poor in variety. Everyday eggs, butter, jam and coffe. No juice, fruits or other options. there was no iron for clothes. - Locations is a bit hard to find. Please make sure you did a good home work of GPS as the sign of POP CORN HOSTEL is easily seen just 1 side of the road, if come in the others sides no way to be seen. Location from airport was a bit troublesome. Very poor breakfast: coffee, bread, jam and butter.
