  When we stayed here there was some renovation going on at the hotel, complete with scaffolding. By the time we left, they had finished and were removing the scaffolding. Despite that, it was a great place to stay. The rooms were small by Western standards, but I found them quite comfortable and clean. It is located about 15 minutes walk from Asakusa subway station or Kuramae station. Tourist attractions are within easy reach via subway or walking distance. Sky Tree tower is only about 15 minutes walk, Sumo Museum is 10 minutes' walk away. You can prepare your meal in the room, which has an electric kettle, microwave oven, stove. It was our second stay at the hotel and we're gonna always be satisfied. The room rate was very good.

  Nice comfortable room, Small but all japanese rooms are. I had a single room that was perfect for one with all the facilities i needed. Perfect location, 5 minute walk to Akihabara 15 minute walk to Asakusa. Metro station 200 metres away. The room is small but nice, we asked for a higher floor and got a great view of Tokyo (the hotel is 12 floors). The staff is friendly, and there is a convenience store downstairs open 24h - you never go to sleep hungry.

  Ace Inn Shinjuku is perfect if you're a foreign solo traveller. There are many other foreign guests and the 9th floor is good to socialise on. This is one of the better hostels I have stayed at and the staff are really friendly an helpful and speak really good English, I highly recommend it! - I realy liked the possibilitiy to meet international ... what people say » travellers in the common rooms.   The proprietor stayed up late (close to midnight) for us because our plane arrived around 10:15 P.M. I had sent an email to him letting him know about our late arrival.
