We, adult couple , have stayed at Sotetsu Toyocho for 7 nights at the beginning of May 2013 as the final stop to our Japan 5 weeks trip. The hotel is very clean . The staff was outstanding help full to assist us with our daily different day tours at Tokyo city & outskirts tourist attractions . Each morning I arrived at the front desk for directions to Tokyo's various attractions . At some moments I have occupied 3 - Three Front Desk staff members : One searching the web in English , 2nd sea.
all reviews » The hotel is very close to Toyocho subway station as well as bus station making it easy to transfer. Wifi is free and fast in room and lobby. A pc with internet is available in the lobby and the reception staff are very polite and helpful. Ask them for any destination you are planning to go in order to get their advice and guidance. They are prepared with some print outs. A good Italian restaurant is located in the basement and the prices are very reasonable compared to other places. The j Post. Sotetsu Toyocho is a clean hotel with free toiletries which is great. Located next to toyocho train station which is very convenient. Lots of eateries around and there's a convenience shop across the hotel. Best coffee at Doutor. It was a wonderful experience. Staff at the hotel were all helpful. Restaurants at the lobby too. Just perfect ! Would love to stay at Sotetsu again next time.... Just one thing, bathroom is really small so as the bed which is in the description but didn't realise that. Location was excellent, less than a minute walk from Toyocho Subway station and with an elevator at the nearest exit (1). The room was very clean though small. However, we had the standard room and were able to have both our suitcases (large checked in luggage) open at the same time being a little creative. Would definitely recommend the hotel if you can get a nice price and if you don't need any unneccessary luxiory. No breakfast, however the Pronto downstairs provided an excellent alternat. The hotel is accessible, very close to the train and you get your money's value. I would recommend this place to my friends. We will definitely stay in this hotel next time. The location was convenient and very near the metro station. The post office was also next door where you can make withdrawals via their ATM, which honors international cards. Very close to subway station, McDonalds, Seiyo supermarket and right beside the post office where you can get your money exchanged. If you are traveling to Hakone, Kyoto or Osaka and taking the bullet train, Tokyo Station is one subway ride by taking Tozai Line (9 minutes). Also close to Tsujiki Market and Odaiba (Diver City). Hotel is very clean, beds are very comfortable and staff are very friendly and helpful. everything you could need is in 5 minute walking distance: metrostation, postoffice, small food shops that are open around the clock, lots of cheap but good restaurants, bookshop. and the airport shuttle bus from haneda airport stops just 100m from the hotel. Most conviently placed hotel I ever stayed in. Staff is very helpful and friendly and has basic english skills if you don't speak japanese. The price/quality ratio is very high considering that is in Tokyo. Moreover, even thought it has reduced services, all furniture is new, it has several amenities and the cleanliness is perfect. It is not located in the central area, but it's really close to Metro and the surrounding area is really quite. Finally the staff can speak english (do not under evaluate it when traveling Japan). We stayed 5 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was really nice and helpfull. It can seems that it is far away from the major neighberhoods but actually the tube works very well and the connection is good. We really recommend it. Making it a bit difficult for you to find a place for your luggage. Check out time is 10am and you need to pay 1000 yen for every hour after that. The bed is quite small but I think this is the standard in Japan. The rooms are quite small. There was no English channel/cable tv. Strict check-in and check-out time. On our last day, we arrived at 1:00 P.M. and they would not let us check-in. We ended up leaving our backpacks and doing some sightseeing so we didn't check-in until 8:30 P.M. If you want to check-out after 10 am, you will have to pay extra, about $20 per hour. The pillows are very small and hard. The "small" double room is really small and can hardly accommodate and more than 2 baggage. Location is at Toyocho subway station. Its not far from Tokyo Station but the cost will add up quickly going back and forth. The rooms were a bit smaller than I'd expected. It was fine for my and my husband, but my parents weren't comfortable with the narrow space. None at all. though near to metro but change line in metro requires lots of walking and stairs say to and from tokyo station and airport, though a bus to and from airport but very infrequent schedule, staff gave me wrong info one day but that's okay. The room was small, but just enough. The location of the hotel is quite far from the main tourist spots. But disneyland is only 30min-45min away but need to change subway three times before arriving at the destination. Rooms were small. letsbookhotel.com stated that the hotel provide light breakfast (toast & coffee) but when I asked, breakfast was not provided. room is too small,except that no complain at all. No clothe cabinet but there is the hanger instead. The rooms do not have space for clothes as usual in Tokyo, only four hangers. Some guests may be dissatisfied with the slight smell of smoke near the window (booked non-smoking). Should allow 1 hour early check-in FOC because people are tired if they arrived overseas or outstation and the timing may not correspond to the 3.00 pm check-in. Some will arrive after 1.00 am and thus will check-out at 10.00 am. Malaysian hotels allow check-in at 2.00 pm and check-out at 12.00 pm., which is more equitable and fair. tiny room with a narrow bed (as usual in Japan), a little far off from the main attractions in Tokyo (but right next to the underground station). We arrived to the Hotrel after a long overseas flight. We were charged 1000 yen to enter the room at 1:30 pm rather than at 3pm. I found that not customer friendly. The Hotel should perhaps think of changing this policy, at least for overseas turists. WIFI is weak at 3rd floor. only lovers could fit in such small room. It was really tiny!. It was called "Triple Room" and we have a very hard sofa as an extra-bed for the third one...
