  The staffs are very helpful. Even it was our mistake not requesting non smoking room, the staff was willing to help us by giving us an air cleaner. English speaking staff was also have an ezcellent accent.

  We spent 1 night in the hotel/Ryokan. Really nice to stay in quite a traditional accommodation. The staff spoke fair English, by Japanese standards. Was very cute that my name was up on a welcome sign and next to my shoe spot. We used the private bath as we have tattoos, which was fun, but we had to put the cold tap on for a bit first as it was b... what people say » oiling water! The Japanese breakfast was a good experience, although I didn - When we checked in, we though that we will have a room with a bathroom. Nope! It has only toilet. And we needed to use hotel's common bath. It turned out to be a very good experience using Japanese common bath. It is very clean and very relaxing in hot tub. My second favorite is Japanese gourmet, both dinner and breakfast. They are big meal, I must say. They serve a local specialty called Yuba, which are dishes made from Tofu. Not bad at all.   The location is super great. Right beside the Chosenji Lake. I can watch the lake outside my window. The room is very big and comfortable. The staffs are very friendly.   The hotel is very close to Tobu Nikko Station, if you take Tobu line the hotel is just 5 mins walk from station. Food and convenient stores are available near hotel. Breakfast is very nice. (It's free, included in room rate) Room is clean. I booked for twin room but got 3 beds which I could relax to leave my child in an extra bed.   An increadibly great place! Typical Japanese-style rooms. Very clean and very quiet, a paradise after coming from Toyko. In foot-walking distance to the train stations and also to the sightseeing spots, although there are busses. And the owner, Yuji-San, is the most friendly and kindest hotel owner I ever met in my life, although I travelled a lot... what people say » in usa and Europe. Yuji-san was so kind to bring me in his car to an Onsen in the mountains, a small place without tourists. There you stay in the op - + Yuji and his family were very good hosts + The room I was in had a heater, and was very clean and comfortable + Unlimited tea and coffee, and very nice bathing facilities + It rained on my last day, and Yuji generously gave me an umbrella to keep, 500 yen to store my luggage at the station so I could walk around more, and a ride back to the station :) + Yuji gave rides to the onsen nearby, which had both outdoor and indoor baths, and great ice cream + Good western breakfast with salad, eggs,
