This guesthouse is amazing. It has been recently refurbished and everything is new, from the beautiful wooden floor to the bathroom. This Japanese house has a real local charm. The owner keeps the house extremely clean and is very approachable, always ready to help and has a great knowledge of the area and hidden gems! I have seen him spending a good amount of time with all the guests.
The bunk bed (men) I slept in was very confortable with 2 individual electric plugs on each of them to charge . all reviews »
This is the best guest house I ever experience in Japan. I would say the
best of all. Highly recommended. The owner is very friendly, very
helpful, could speak english fluently, know about all the must see
places in Kyoto and even give direction clearly. Also you can buy the
one day bus ticket here. I like the modern design of every section, very
neat, clean, simple and cozy. It has a big table in the middle where
everyone could gather around and share their day, enjoy their meal. They
also hav.
This might be one of my favorite stay. Even though this hostel just opened for about two weeks, the owner is a very patient and energetic guy. He gave us many helpful information and suggestion for my plan. The house is very clean. I also like the design of this hostel. Since it has only a few bed, so little guest makes the stay very comfortable. Also, the bed and pillow are comfortable.
Hostel is nice and comfortable, very clean, nice bathroom and shower (brand new). Owner speaks English. Lounge area next to reception has a Japanese style table for eating or reading. Enjoyed my stayed very much. Will definitely stay there again next time.
The host is very nice. He gave us lots of information for visiting places.

I have no complaint. All are meet my expectation.
Since the house is like the old style and there are gaps from the door, it could be quite cold in the winter. There is only one bath room, people might have to fight for it. But during my 3-night stay, i didnt have much problem on it.
Actually the location is not that bad, it is about 5 minutes walk from the subway station. There's family mart and 7-11stores around though.
The room could be warmer.
