This is a first class B & B at a very affordable price. We had to stop in Ventimiglia to break up a long train trp between hiking in Cassis, France and Cinque Terre, Italy. We were pleasantly surprised with both this city and especially the B & B. Owners are very nice and helpful; decor is beautiful, it is easy walk to train station and fabulous pizzeria nearby, all in historical part of town. Breakfast was more than adequate.
all reviews » Arianna and her husband are genuinely friendly and helpful. It didn't feel like they were just going through the motions of being our hosts. The B&B has an eclectic and thoughtful design and use of space. Our bedroom was well appointed and stylish with a large bed and comfy mattress. If you are on foot, be prepared to take the ancient cobbled alleys down into town and then back up again. It will help burn off the pasta cals. Ventimiglia was a delightful surprise to us - in the midst of the glitz of Italy's Riviera here is a town that retains its original charm and friendly locals. The B&B is in a beautiful old building on a medieval street. Our room was lovely, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and our hosts were extremely helpful. I really wish we could have stayed for longer. Very friendly and very helpful hosts! Nice breakfast. Parking in garage good though a short distance from B&B. Hosts helped us park in garage. Lovely rooms, great location, excellent breakfast and most of all the owners went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect. We had a wonderful week here, and were very sorry when it was time to go home. The setting in old town is very atmospheric. The B&B is beautifully presented with excellent facilities and the rooms well decorated and furnished. We could not have asked more of our hosts. the breakfasts are excellent. Would definitely return!. Our only regret was that the stay was too short. One night is not enough to enjoy all that Ventimiglia offers. The B&B is on the second floor with no lift, so you will have to carry your bags up the stairs (although you will undoubtedly get help from one of the lovely owners). 2. There is no parking on-site, but there is free parking nearby, or if you wish, paid secure parking. Location and stairs could be somewhat difficult for mature/handicapped travelers. Nothing...everything was excellent. There is nothing to dislike. The parking was a distance away and a lil complicated to find. Thank you Davide for your hospitality!. We had a beautiful bath in the bedroom but I would have liked a separate shower. All the steps, Looked old and worn down on the outside, but great inside when you get to the rooms. I can't think of anything. Nothing not to like. A lot of steps.
