A clean, comfortable in the heart of Venice.. Literally 2 minutes walk from St Marks Square, 10 minutes from Rialto bridge. So easy to find after getting off the water bus. Continental breakfast with few warm items, ie scrambled egg, sausage, bacon. Friendly reception staff. Mini bar in the room was reasonably priced but obviously cheaper to find a supermarket to purchase wine/water etc. Love the breakfast with wonderful selection. The room is double room is beautiful. The bathroom is very modern. The other room we booked is a family suite. Having 2 bathrooms was a plus. It was very hot during our visit and staying indoors (in the hotel) was an easy itinerary.

In rating value for money as good I am talking Venice and not comparing with hotels elsewhere. It had all the amenities I require, ie free WiFi (even in the bedroom), kettle tea and coffee, good breakfast served very efficiently, bbc World News and central yet quiet location. Hotel is near to San Marco (in 5 minutes) on main island. Vaporetto (waterbus) station is in 2-5 minutes. It isn't on the first line to Grand Canal, so it's quiet. Good staff. The room was pleasant and the AC effective in the very hot weather. The breakfasts were excellent. This is my second stay at the Bisanzio and I would stay there again. It was clean and comfortable and a great location down an ally nice and quiet but a two minutes walk to all the action. The hotel could use an air conditioner in the lobby area and some cold water for guests when they arrive. Didnt tell us the wifi password changes daily so we struggled without wifi until we realised/asked again. Would of been nice to have complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was just okay. Given the price of meals in Venice you should probably take advantage of the breakfast buffet. Breakfast pretty typical of Italian hotels though cooked items very tasty. Nothing I can think except some noisy Spanish guests. "Queen-size" bed was really two separate beds staying together. Breakfast was not very good. Nothing!!. Internet was annoying. Had to get a new code for each day of our stay and after logging in this seemed to drop out after an hour or so and you had to reenter the codes. Apparently this is in the process of being changed!. Only one lift - and it took too long. The Internet at the room was not working. Not a lot of negatives stand out. The door knob on a closet came off. but thats' reaching for any negative features for this hotel. Didn't like the scabbled egg , bacon and sausage much, but then we English think we do that best!. Nothing that impacted on a very enjoyable break. I loved it all. Nothing. Nothing to compain. Breakfast can be richer... Breakfast. Breakfast: Quality of food and location. We stayed at the first floor and it was very noisy. The room was very small for 3 adults with one toilet. 2 bathrooms that are the same one becouse they don't have separate entrance. The other 2 beds didn't have light to read. Size of room. breakfast every day (7 days) the same menu ,no vegetables at all cheese and meat and eggs every day. Tiny room! But also over priced, bad air con, no private jetty standard "euro" style breakfast. Not very best western at all!. Toiletries weren't really provided. If you wanted other items like shampoo and conditioner, one had to request for them. Pillows were hard (and probably old). We also had to go request for tea making kits if we wanted one and were provided flimsy styro cups to drink from. I think the hotel could do with some TLC in general and it could be excellent: flowers, starched linens, complete toiletries, etc. We didn't like breakfast to much. It was the same thing everyday.
