The island had been closed for any boats because of weather, so the owner contacted us and proposed to change for the next day. However, it was in November - low season. The rooms with sea view are great (because of the sea view). There is also terrace with swings and chairs. Rooms are big, with small kitchen and old styled furniture. Very cosy. Just 3 minutes walking from Magmatrek, where excursions start. 7-10 minutes walking from the harbour.

Staff able to book trek to crater for guests, breakfast served at nearby bar with good choice of items. Main reason for visit was the crater trek, but found that there is so much more to do on the island. Fantastic and helpful staff who did an amazing job of tracking down my lost baggage with Alitialia - it had been lost for 5 days! Beautiful vista from the balcony over the sea. The studio apartment was well equipped. Breakfast is a short walk away at an associated restaurant, but at a location with an even more stunning view. Amazing location on Stromboli. Everything is a short walk away - the beach, the town centre and of course you are at the slope of Stromboli. The rooms are lovely - especially the fridge comes in handy. Monica is also very helpful pre-departure with advising on ferry times, etc. We will be back!. Very large rooms, small kitchenette was lovely. Bathroom good with good shower. Nice to have a large se,I private terrace. Breakfast was convenient, we were given vouchers for a nearby cafe and could have anything we wanted. Italian style so not the best for coeliacs though. Due to our early departure we had to miss the breakfast hour, but we got a boxed meal from the reception instead. The location was perfect, the staff( Monica) was extra helpful. Near fantastic black sand beach. 5-10 minutes on foot to the church square where all excursions to vulcano start. Hotel cleaners always disturb us - not at Pedra. Very good breakfast (fresh pastries and orange juice) at nearby restaurant terrace (astonishing views to Stromboli and sea). Ideal location for trekking evening to Stromboli (by the way we selected Stromboli Adventures as Magmatrek was full and ended in a more friendly smaller group). We had a very beautiful and confortable room, close to the beach and the square with the church where the excursions depart from. The breakfast is fantastic. Nice view from the roof terrace on both sea and vulcano. House was nice. We recommend the Volcano night trek. The View, the balcony and the room' space. Consider, there is no breakfast: 2 small, dry, untasty croissants, only 1(!) portion of nuttela, marmelades. Aircon did not work well in room, it only very slightly cooler inside although we had it down to 17 degrees. Internet was so slow that one page would not load in 30 mins, essentially unusable. High price, but this is normal in Stromboli in high season. We stayed on the last day of October and solar batteries could not provide enough hot water for shower. Despite this, an electrical heater available was not switched off so we had no possibility to take hot shower after volcano trip. Also (though it is not directly related to the hotel) first time during our numerous visits to Italy, we got a restaurant advice at reception for the restaurant which proved to be awful (a fish restaurant nearby). Nothing. WiFi was available though wasn't that powerful to reach the room, helping out to relax and stay away from those emails unless you really couldn't bare without hem!.. None. The lack of any water hot or cold when we got up in the morning. The fact that breakfast was remote from the hotel in the village centre. It was pretty expensive - although we booked at the last minute and we didn't have much choice... No wifi, basically. Breakfast is 10 min away at this nice bar, but there's no information on what you're entitled to have. They do kick you out at 10h30, they even told us that the 11h50am ferry was leaving 1 hour early, so we had to run to the dock and find out that it was not true. We ended up ending by the docks when we could've make better use of our time. We got stuck on the island, because of rough sea and cancelled hydrofoils and ferry. (Not really a hotel's fault, though). there were not enough blankets in the room. Check out compromised by early morning ferry. Price too high for family room (studio not appartment). The sea view is beautiful but from roof terrace not from room window. We loved the place, but thought that 160€ is just too much. You'd expect at least to have wifi in the room (even in the reception it didn't work properly) and someone at the reception when you need them. No staff at arrival, lack of foreign language, lady at reception quite disinterested, no correct information where to go to see the eruptions. Breakfast restaurant has the slowest service in the history of the world, you actually lost the will to eat. If you don't have to come there, don't come!. There's no internet in the rooms but only in the reception and during limited hours with no place to seat on, they send you 10 minutes away to a measly breakfast on the hill, the TV is a computer screen size and at last they kick you out at 10:30,- what will you do in this Island if the ferry arrives there only at 5 O'clock? Well, we rented a better room in a lot better location(on the boardwalk) at "Miramar" for 50 euros after we had no - choice.
