The luxury Grand Hotel Ambasciatori is perched on a cliff overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in Sorrento. Offering views of the Bay of Naples from its rooftop terrace, it also has a private beach, garden with pool and free WiFi. Everything though entertainment on regular basis in evening ws just starting so we missed that a little but small price to pay for also missing crowds in sorrento. The beautiful sea view from the bedroom and the beautiful garden where you could sit in either the sun or the shade and look out at the sea.staff excellent, location the best, very clean, excellent breakfast buffet and special dinners.relaxed atmosphere, polite and very helpfull and friendly staff. Room food service attitude. its elegance.Salvatore - The Jetty Bar Manager was extremely friendly and looked after each and every one of his guests giving a first class service.service was excellent, grounds and location was beautiful, great value for you money for the area. All of my family enjoy good coffee and we found the littlepots of coffee offered at breakfast too weak. We felt it was a bit of abother for staff when we asked for an espresso doppia with breakfast!. Prices in general but then again I found Sorrento very expensive.Food was mediocre. We had a room under the dining room and, as the floors were tiled, any movement of furniture was very noisy in the room. Also the balcony was very small. I mentioned both in my comments form to the hotel on leaving.We were very disappointed with our room. Inward facing as said on the web site, but this needs to be more specific, we were facing into a light well, the room was dark and depressing. When I asked for assistance to change I was basically told, "ou booked it you live with it" the general manager was very unhelpful.

The Afrodite Bar is set in a comfortable hall with a fine view of the garden and is the ideal place to have a chat and a drink with your friends. Occasionally the bartender hosts a Cocktail Party and treats you to his best cocktails.

The Poseidone Snack Bar, located at the bottom of the cliff, is surrounded by a rich vegetation. It is ideal for a pleasant rest watching the boats sailing on the sea, and sipping refreshing drinks.

The Dioniso Bar is located by the pool, on a wide terrace overlooking the sea and serves delicious cocktails and barbecue dishes for lunch.

In your spare time you can lie in the sun on the terraces round the swimming-pool with hydromassage whirlpool area or just relax on the belvedere watching the charming scenery.
In the hottest days the private beach with its wide sunbathing terrace by the sea is at your disposal. Free sunchairs, sun umbrellas and towels. Sun beds are at a charge.
You may also decide to play tennis in the surroundings of the Hotel or to play table-tennis in the Hotel garden.

By Train:

The central station of Naples is connected to Sorrento by the local train line Circumvesuviana. The terminal station is located right in the centre of Sorrento. The journey lasts about 1 hour.

By Hydrofoil:

From the Molo Beverello harbour of Naples there are hydrofoils to Sorrento almost every hour. The Marina Piccola harbour is very close to the centre and to the hotel. The journey takes about 40 minutes.
