Be sure to ask for the room on the upper floors with a view. The view is spectacular from up there and the walk up (no elevator) is worth the hike. The breakfast is good and the people polite. You are right in the center of the old town and the evening bar next door is good for a nightcap or snack. Safe place even late at night and the bag storage upon leaving was great. I like everything about it including location, morning buffet, price, internet access, hotel room and a great service.Excellent situation, period furnishings and good breakfast.THe coffee was particularly good. The location, the room and bathroom was comfortable, the staff was very kind.The staff were all incredibly helpful. We liked the central location and appreciated the excellent help from the staff.location, friendly staff, beautiful facility. My gf and I stayed in "Locanda Di San Martino" for one night and paid for a classic room EUR 79. We especially liked the lavish breakfast buffet (be in time though) included in the price and the fact that our place also had a sitting room with couch. The place was very clean and thinterior a bit kitsch but well done; nice view over the city and relatively close to Piazza del Campo; friendly staff.Very central, lovely reception staff. friendly people, quiet areae. very friendly, good location. Our double bed was effectively a double bed, ie. it consisted of two single mattresses; one big mattress for two would have been a lot more comfortable. EXTREMELY hard location to get to and not a place to choose if you cannot walk up stairs with your suitcases. Breakfast room was small and sometimes couldn't get a table. When we arrived,there was no-one there.The intercom voice told us firstly that the hotel was unavailable,but after our protest said that an e-mail had been sent to us.(It arrived after we had left home).We were then given the code to enter but no-one appeared until the next morning when the student appeared for our breakfast.

Take the A1 motorway.
Exit at Valdichiana.
Follow the road in the direction of Siena.
Arriving at Porta Romana, go straight on Via Roma, passing through the electronic gate.
Keep straight on Via Pantaneto until the first little square called Logge del Papa, here turn left and take Via del Porrione.
Keep straight on for other 250 metres until you find another little square on Via di San Martino.
Stop the car here.
Walk fro 15 metres to number 14, where the hotel is found.
From the north –
Take the A1 motorway.
Exit at Firenze Certosa.
Then, as above.
(From both toll gates the city is connected by a dual carriageway).
By public transport:
From Siena FS station, catch the number 3 bus.
By air:
Florence - Amerigo Vespucci Airport
Pisa - Galileo Galilei Airport.
