This hotel was a great place to stay for two nights. The staff were very helpful with giving directions and suggestions of where to go. The room was huge with the biggest bathroom of my entire trip. For a guy who is 6foot2 I could actually fit in the bath. The pool was great too. It was close to everything and the view from the balcony was amazing. We enjoyed a spacious room, bonus a lovely bathroom and a balcony overseeing the sea and the beautiful surrounding palms. We loved Sanremo, the Ligurian coast, the unique bike track that goes along the seaside. Plamena and her collegues at the reception desk were very nice . Molto carini, grazie!! Ritorneremo sicuramente!.
all reviews » The location is good right on the front with the promenade starting opposite the hotel. We had a fourth floor room at the front so had a marvellous sea view. The pool is large with plenty of sun beds. The hotel was once no doubt a place of great grandeur and a lot of that remains. Very comfortable room. Staff helpful & friendly. Hotel interior was elegant with furnishings & ambiance of a previous era. Close to the sea/ promenade & not too far from shops/ town centre. Easy, free parking on site. The hotel had a real charm ... yes it is a bit tired but this gives it real character you feel like you have stepped back in time. We had a lovely clean room with a sea view and the staff could not have been nicer. Great room size and fantastic bathroom, a little dated but very good value for money, a great pizza restaurant 100 metres towards town on the same side of the road. The staff were very helpful apart from the waiters who were v surley.It was my wifes birthday and we were given a lovelly room with 2 balconies overlooking the sea.They even put a birthday card in room with a bottle of bubbly which was a nice touch.The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious.Fantastic pool area. Old world feel. Close to the beach. Very limited off street parking. So once you had a car park you didn't want to drive anywhere. Breakfast could be improved. The road in front of the hotel is very busy and noisy. There is a charge for sunbeds around the pool but at least this secures them for the day if you need to nip out. The poolside showers need a good clean as does the sides of the pool. The noise of the road but possibly this would not have been an issue if we had jot had a sea view as road was sea side. Noise did not disturb when windows closed but was also noisy by pool. Cobren 7 € per persona per utilitzar la piscina! You have to pay 7€ to use the swimming pool!. That you have to pay for the sun bed & towels by the pool as guests. This should be complimentary. Nothing really. Unfortunately we only stayed there for a night. Will return!. The main staircase carpet needs a good Hoover.I think the housekeeper only used the lifts and never saw the dirty state of the carpet. The pool & pool area closed too early. The hotel is used for coach parties from Eastern Europe and the breakfast buffet cannot cope. The hotel needs some money spending on it as it looks tired and outdated in the public areas with minor maintenance issues not being attended to. No hot water. The hotel has a rich history, but today appears a little run down. Carpets are torn and dirty. In need of refubishment.
