I can not say enough positive stuff about camping village Roma! We staying for 2 nights, then travelled some more and then stayed another 2 nights on the way back. During both stays, staff were 100% friendly, helpful and full of information, even those who did speak english found a way! The pools were more than expected and beautifully clean, overlooking some of the local area, with 2 spa pools! Location wise its very close to the vatican and all other sites (about 10 mins in the car) They also.

If you take the bus from Fiumicino airport to RomeTermini you can ask the bus driver to leave you at one of the bus-stops on Via Aurelia, and then you just cross the street and take one of the local buses (lines 246 or 247) to Camping Village (Panorama Market Station), this will save you from an un. Having a supermarket, laundromat and good reasonably priced restaurant makes it easy to save a bit of money. Shuttle bus into the centre and airport transfers make it very easy to get around as it is quite far out of rome. There was no tv and no refrigerator as was mentioned at the bungalow we booked,it was quite small,be aware at the bus to the camping (246 or 247) beause there are thiefts who are pickpocketing. Bit poor information on facilities available in different types of accommodations for example we would have loved to know that 4 person accommodation/bungalows have kitchen facility in them as it was very important for us with 2 young children. The wi-fi connection dosen't work properly. Distant location. Despite being only 3km from Vatican it takes ages to get there due to the heavy traffic. The last camping shuttle departs at 18.30 from Vatican which is far too early. The train station is at 1.5km from the camping, a bit too far for a walk, and no pavements, but you can park your car in front for free. Anyway train trip combined with metro takes over 1hr to the main monuments. Long wait to check in or do anything at the front desk. You will need to buy paper towels detergent and such. But the grocerie store on site and across the street are very nice/well priced. if i ha to give a bad point then it would be that u only get one set of towels for all the time u are there.. u can use the laundry service or wash them yourself this is just scrapping a downfall together really it wasnt an issue!. The price of a taxi to the airport which was organised by the staff was far to expensive for the journey we made but we had had no alternative. It is too far from city center for me. I dont like having to take a bus to go to the metro. We missed hot water twice, but when we told the security guy he fixed it right away. The AC was also hard to figure out, bur security guy came in to help with that too. Due to the large number of backpacker tour groups that stay there, in can be very noisy well into the early hours!. Be aware that the site accommodates many tour groups, such as Topdecks, which meant it was quite noisy late at night. The local buses are very rare on Sunday!. * Late comers coming during night making lot of noise and disturbing those who were already resting for the day * Rooms are too tiny with very little space to move around The cots are making lots of noise. Kitchen only available in chalet not bungalows so needed to upgrade on arrival. An added expense not in the budget. That said the money saved on Restaurants more than covered the extra. We were there for 2 weeks and never offered a linen change. Nothing!. Bungalows are a little rickety and tend to rock if your neighbours are walking round inside! Not a real problem though. Nothing, loved it generally. Need soap dispensers in the toilets. Plenty of drunken very noisy juvenile.You hear each sound from surroundings. Info-point was empty ,they have advertised something which do not already provide(tickets-Coloseum.etc.). A confusing Wifi service that is weak certain locations. Stairs from the bottom to the cabins walls were thin u could hear every thing outside. Public transportation (or lack thereof) made the location more difficult than it should have been, but this is something the hostel can't control. Chalet's were self catering but there was no oven or microwave so self catering choices were limited. That the washing machines and tumble dryers where so expensive. Laundry was expensive, some washers and dryers didn't work. Bungalows are smaller then the pictures portray and I can imagine if the campground was full it would be very noise. Bad location, but cheap :). Towels are skimpy sheets, Restaurant staff only give customer service to the young pretty girls and so dining as a young family was not a pleasant experience. Because of that, we did not use the restaurant again. Lots of bus groups = noisy nights, but we might just have been unlucky to be near a particularly late/noisy cabin. If you book a "bungalow" instead of a "chalet" there is no cooking facilities and they are very small. too good audibility. I didnt like my blanket, could be a better one. Wi-fi didn't work in the bangalows. Cost of shuttle to Ciampino airport. It was the same as a taxi without having to go via the other airport first!. recommend if you can serve morning tea/coffee at this price. The neighbourhood , drunnnnk and loud from 2 to 4 o'clock in the night -( It is not issue of CVR - next time we will habe the chalet. We love the place however this was our third time staying here and each time there are always people up late being loud. a problem with the hot water, but they quickly find a solution. The location made it difficult to arrive to and depart from via public transportation. The curtains were too heavy and made it difficult to receive natural light from the outdoors. Lack of airflow. No towels, No hospitality sometimes, permanent hot water problem.
