This was our 2nd stay in this hotel: it is a perfect hotel: decorated and furbished with extremely good taste and eye for details. The hotel incl. premises is extremely clean, great breakfast; the hotel is like a museum with ART all around the building incl. the rooms and outside on the premises. The room was again in perfect condition. Via Milano bit noisy when you're at the outside swimming pool.
all reviews » The staff could not do enough for us - from train times, to recommending restaurants, to calling all of Bergamo to find somewhere we could leave our luggage on the last day (unfruitful). The hotel is dotted with art and sculptures and the overall effect is very impressive. The toom was small but perfectly formed, and the bathrooms are lovely. I do not think I could fault this hotel.One of the best hotels ever. Magnificent!!! Seems like an old farming land owner's (maybe a noble family) house...very large and beautiful. Exterior maintains original style, interior is very modern...but in very, very good taste. Meals, staff, everything was top rate...the best!. Have stayed at the hotel several times when using Bergamo airport:- it is very easy to find by car and takes less than 10 mins from the Car Hire pound. Very comfortable (flat screen TVs) and an excellent breakfast until 10.00 (10.30 at weekends) if you fancy a lie in.The hotel was the nicest hotel we had ever stayed in. We only used thehotel as an overnight stop but all wished we could have stayed a littlelonger. The rooms were spacious and modern as was the rest of the hotel.Breakfast was varied and plentiful 10/10. The hotel is really nice ... the rooms (at least mine, it was a double room) arent very big but they looks nice and very clean ... the same the bathroom! However, you must go to Santa Lucia for the best pizza and best atmosphere we'd ever experienced. Bergamo is also 7 mins from the nearby train station so you can get in and out very easily. The location could be better, about 5 miles out of Bergamo.Be aware that it is quite difficult to find. Check out a map beforehand. There should be more places to lay down at the swimming pool.The resteraunt was closed the evening we stayed it would have been niceto be made aware of this, but having said that they were very helpful insujesting local places to dine. not really... maybe it is not the best place if you don't have a car. More sunbeds to the pool area. restaurant not great for children. They say they provide airport shuttle but the charge you for it. I would not call it an airport hotel. It is more than fiftteen minutes to reach there, especially in the am. If I was being picky, the location was not perfect, although there is more than adequate means to get whereever you want to be. The locals are more than happy to help and the staff at the hotel were very friendly too.The bathroom windows offered little privacy (they were neither obscure nor had a dark opaque curtain, only a white, semi-transparent one), which could prove a little problematic in night-time. To charge eight Euros for a baby bottle of beer at the bar is criminal. Everything else is so good it is a shame and I am so disappointed.Pool closes too early!. only four sun beds. Although we had a wonderful meal in the restaurant it was very expensive and a less formal and less expensive option for the kids would have been good as the room was such good value it was a little disappointing to have to pay so much for our food. But I would highly recommend this hotel for couples but not necessarily for kids unless money is of no concern. A little to far from town centre, poor local transport. Had to spend£100's on taxi's. The maping of the location - it was hard to find it. No breakfast if you leave earlier in the morning. Traffic noise could be intrusive. It's not easy to find.j get infection on my head of shampoon in the hotel. Food could be better quality. wellness too ekspensive.
