when we went there, a big event was about to start, which obliged them to move us to one of their sister hotels. At first sight we got sad, but we realised that they also felt embarrassed, so they act in a very very proper way and made very nice favours and gestures to keep us happy, contrary to what is believed as misfortune became a fortune. The rooms, staff and the facilities at both their hotel was perfect. next time we will definetely go one of the Colonna hotels once we are in Porto Cerv.
all reviews » All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is really perfect (A few minutes drive from porto cervo) . Make sure you rent a car while you are staying there,so that you can visit other beaches and places. This doesn't have anything to do with the location of the hotel, where ever you go in Sardinia you need to rent a car. The staff are extra friendly. Service is excellent. The hotel management are very considerate & flexible. They have provided us with late check-out, & additionally have provided us with a room late afternoon to take showers. Pools are magnificent. We highly recommend it. This is a beautiful and very relaxing hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful, and the private beach is heaven. This is a really lovely hotel to stay in with family. The layout of the pools, the decking by the beach, the view of the sea, the delicious food, the bathrooms, the robes, the free wifi, the peace and quiet and serenity, the spa & gym. The staff away from the Calonna restaurant were very good to excellent. The facilities around the water areas were also very good. The whole hotel is really great and the service is top! We did also get nice sea view room. The view to the see was great. Swimming pools are nice. The restaurant was also ok. Staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for you. Pools were beautiful. Nothing to be mentioned. Slightly snooty and posing place. Do not expected the other guests to be too friendly towards you as half of them ore from Russia and seem to be there to pose. The pool bar is quite small, and the snack / lunch service at the pool bar could be improved. Shame some of the outdoor pools were not heated / and a shame they were all saltwater. Bed not the comfiest I've slept in - think it was down to the very thin pillows though. The restaurant, we had dinner there one night, sorry we did. Four course meal all served in 45 mins, it appeared a race to get all served and out. Service was terrible re wine and water. was not worth half the price. We ate elsewhere the other five nights. The check-out time at 10 am is way too early! If you want to spend romantic weekend with longer night out and go for breakfast at 9 am, you must really hurry-up to pack & leave your room in time. We wanted to try the wonderful spa-area, but with this early check-in, it was impossible to go. The beach is too small. Room was ok, but the matress on the bed was old and not comfortable. It took us 30 mins by car from Porto Cervo to the hotel. Drinks expensive compared to other 5 stars I have been to. Wifi poor. Distance to Porto Cervo. Lack of sunbeds on the beach and very small beach, poor wireless internet connection. No comment. Location. Gym , very poor breakfast. Internet was not good and menu in lunch bar. Small room, very bad mattrasses, small choice of food in pool bar. Food, room isolation. The room was very poor, bed extremely uncomfortable and with the exception one staff member VERY UNFRIENDLY. Small room, poor spa facilities. Smell of the room. Bed Bugs in the sheets.
