  Everything about S. Ercolano exceeded my expectations especially after an over-priced closet-of -a-room in Firenze. The room was quiet and very conveniently appointed. Staff was especially helpful with planning my tour around Umbria and gave my trip fond memories.   The hotel is run by a most friendly and pleasant family (an example: they gave me a ride to the town center when it was raining). One can have breakfast outside in the garden. The room was pleasant and very clean. The hotel is very well maintained. The friendliness of the owners and of the staff made us feel as if we were at home.

  the hotel is really nice - high ceilings, big bathrooms, big bed. i was definitely impressed when i arrived! definitely worth it. - Good location close to transportation if traveling by train/bus. Fairly quiet area of town so street noise was not an issue.

  Most of all, the family who own and run this B&B care about their guests and went out of their to make our stay in Perugia even more enjoyable. For rexample, Michele ensured we had a parking space for our car at all times, right near the hotel. He was also very keen to talk with us about Italian/Perugian culture, economics, politics etc. His e... what people say » xcellent English made it very easy for us. Our room was a good size, and well appointed. It was only a 2 minute walk to the main Piazza. Great value - Everything! The family who own the guest house are super friendly and helpful. The decor and furnishings lovely, especially the many antiques. I had a corner room with great views from its 2 windows. Perugia is a wonderful city and Assisi is just a 20min train ride away and Spello another 10 mins, so this makes for a great base to explore the area. I ate some fabulous meals at Cantinone, a restaurant recommended by the owner. If I come back to Perugia it will be to stay at Hotel Morlacchi
