Excellent, convenient and most Charming location, close to town centre, easy to reach everything on foot. Staff is helpful, recommended good restaurants nearby. Pleasant rooftop terrace with view over this outstandingly beautiful medieval town. Everything else apart from the comments written in red was great. The staff spoke a little English and if asked they went out of their way to oblige!! I liked the coffee machine at reception it gives a warm ambience to the hotel.
all reviews » the hotel is a 500 years old building, it was great to see some old architecture and enjoy the village feeling of Italy, close to the center also. Good location, clean rooms, adequate breakfast, reasonable price. The young guy and the lady of the staff were nice. Very good location next to the main street, quadruple room good for a family, responsive staff to email enquiries. Location is superb, with parking. Breakfasts were excellent - so much more than a normal continental breakfast. We liked the closeness to the main sites, the parking next door, and the choices at breakfast. the hotel was nice and very central for us, the breakfast setting really pretty. Great location in Perugia - right by main square. Shower pressure was fantastic. La locazione é molto conveniente. The location. Insufficient protection from shower water was a bit awkward, and got the surrounding floor wet. The mattress on the bed was needing replacing. It was sad that the fact it was not advised on the internet (1) that the restaurant was not operating for the winter and (2) that the top floors were closed for the winter! I understand the economics of it but forewarned is best!. some rooms have no air conditions so we had to open the windows and the street was loud all night...... Senior staff guy was really unpleasant and even rude. The room our friends had on the street side was slightly noisy in the evening/morning (our own "yard side" room was peaceful and with very nice views). The directions to the hotel for driving in were too brief. More detail would be appreciated. The construction workers starting their work very early in the morning and the lack of air-conditioning !. they double charged us ! and will not respond to emails. The weather but that's not their fault. The bed was like sleeping on stone. It was so uncomfortable I had to remake the bed lined with blankets to make it soft enough not to cut off my circulation!. Uncomfortable beds & a strange smell outside our window. The mattress was highly uncomfortable. We requested a change and the second one was also uncomfortable. It was no clear that the parking of the car was at a charge of $15 to $25 per day. The staff careless when we did not have hot water. The shower halth the size of a normal one, not even a real shower. Room too small. Scandalous behaviour of the staff and price!.
