Il Caesllo is the perfect Italian getaway! Paolo and Angelica were fabulous hosts - they were very sweet, kind and helpful, and both spoke excellent English. Il Casello is absolutely gorgeous! Our room and bathroom were lovely and spacious, with breathtaking views of Chianti. The bed was very comfortable and the room was air conditioned, but the windows also opened for cool morning and evening breezes. There was a charming communal sitting room for reading by the fireplace. Plenty of tables

We stayed at the Villa to celebrate my wife's birthday. Prior to the visit I called the Villa and explained our celebration and requested the best room available for the rate paid. To their great credit we found ourselves upgraded to a beautiful suite with a complimentary bottle of chianti classico and a happy birthday note.
However it was late November and there was only one other couple staying.

The location was fantastic! Nestled on a hilltop above Greve in Chianti and with a great view of Panzano, the views are amazing. Very conveniently located for "Agritourisma" as there are dozens of wineries within short driving distance. The hotel is a rustic big country house with a really nice atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and even helped us arrange privat transportation to the restaurant since there are no taxi's in the area.
