We chose to stay at Palazzo Gallo based on the excellent reviews it had received, it was a great choice. Palazzo Gallo is in a fantastic location to explore Palermo on foot, all the main attractions were in easy walking distance. all reviews » We visited Sicily in July 2013 for two weeks, of which a week was spent in Palazzo Gallo. We could not fault it at all, and would more than happily live in the apartment. It was very spacious, clean and had everything (and more) that you would need for self catering. Breakfast was left in the apartment and we found there to be more than enough to do both breakfast and lunch. The staff were very friendly and the cleaning staff waited until we left before freshening up the room. In terms of locat. Location is perfect - all sights are easily reached on foot, it takes just half an hour to get by bus to Mondello (beaches). The staff is very friendly and efficient. Great apartment, very clean, modern and all the facilities you will need, including great aircon, wifi, tv etc. Great location and walking distance to all the major attractions. This apartment is located in the heart of Palermo near the luxury shops, theatres, restaurants, different bars. The apartment is well-equpped with all necessary things. Thare is a kitchen, bathroom, a large living room with highly-speed Wi-Fi, TV. On the second floor there is a bedroom and the entrance to the terrace. Everyday you can take a breakfast youself preparing caffe, omelet, o sandwich. The staff is fluent in English so it's not a problem for those who can't speak italian. After trkking throughout Italy and staying at an assortment of hotels i have to say that palazzo Gallo was by far the best. The mezzanine sleeping platform creates some issues with head height and night time visits to the bathroom downstairs (just so you know) but nothing major so don't be put off booking this apartment for a wonderful stay in Palermo. Nothing I didnt like about the apartment - apart from the fact that I dont own it myself!! :) - cant really say the same for Palermo though. Some nice architecture and what could be a nice marina and park on the ocean nearby only to be completely spoilt by the rubbish and grafitti everywhere. It's a shame the locals dont respect their city as it could be so much nicer than it is. 2 days was enough for us. Happy we went to see it but wouldnt go back. I can't fault this place. Except for the fact that the office staff doesn't speak any English, but we managed. -. Bathroom facilities on the same floor as the bedroom would have been useful. Nothing. breakfast not to my liking, but ok. Supermarket nearby. Parking cost 0.75€ pr hour on the street. Sofa bed in the lounge could be more comfortable to sit on. Light fittings,instructions sheet for the following :oven ,a/c,hours of reception. Little bit dark in the room during day time. The bedroom ceiling is rather low. Bit dark and basic. parking in street subject to availbility hotel staff not stationed at hotel reception.
