This was the best hotel we've stayed in Italy! We've been to Roma, Firenze, Venezia on similar (cheap) hotels and this was by far the best. The outside look isn't great and can be a shock upon arrival, but most of the buildings in Palermo are like that, so don't be put off by your first impression. Once you enter the hotel you will find a very clean and spacious building. The staff was also the nicest we've met in all our travels. We stayed in a spacious room with TV, a mini-fridge, air-conditi.

Very comfortable reasonably sized room in which everything worked very well - efficient AC and excellent hot water pressure although the shower cubicle is one of those very compact jobs. The reception staff are very friendly, extremely helpful and informative and speak good English. The hotel is very centrally located and for the price it would be difficult to find a better hotel in Palermo. The hotel was central for getting to most places of interest by walking. The staff were very helpful especially as I had to leave one day early to get from Palermo to Catania to catch my flight..They also took time to help you get to places of interest and the best ways to reach them providing details on opening times and transport options etc. Central location on quiet street. The staff were welcoming, helpful and polite. The hotel was clean and modern and breakfast was plentiful.You felt like the staff really wanted you to enjoy your stay.They also looked after our bags when we went out to see the sights on our last day. (1) Friendly, helpful staff who went out of their way to help us solve some problems (2) Good internet in room (3) Walking distance to transportation hub (train and bus stations) and close to many historic sights (4) Interesting neighborhood, lots of cross-cultural influences. The hotel is close to an entertainment area which can be quite noisy at night....but great if your young and enjoy the gay scene. The outside street might put some people off - there is a lot of renovation work going on. But once you are inside, it is lovely. (1) A little hard to find initially down a small alley. This is not negative. At first when I saw the alley street, I was taken a back. This is because of the many ongoing contructions. But this almost everywhere. Sign of progress. But as soon as I entered the gate of the hotel, I saw the nice hotel. Hard to find when driving - went right by it up the back alley!! Parking added another 10 euros a day to the cost. Wifi is limited but fine for emails, our double bed room was a little tight for space. It's little difficult to find the hotel. The beginning of the street is under construction and looks like a construction site and can't suggest that in 15 meters is the hotel ....but it is not a fault of the hotel. The street is a bit off-putting but the area is on the way up. So do not be alarmed. The hotel is nice. Daytime reception staff seemed like they didn't really want to be there. I stayed four nights and each morning was the same. No personality. It was difficult to find with a GPS. The GPS had us going in circles and down streets that are closed to traffic. Once you are there it is pretty simple though. the room is little small. Bit hard to find (but follow the directions they give you and it should be fine). Nothing. No elevator (we were on the 3rd floor) No hotel car parking. Our view from our window was 1 meter from a wall. (But it´s totally okey considering the price and the location). limited in room entertainment (italian terrestrial tv only, on a very small screen tv). There was nothing I didn't like about my stay. Tricky to access by car. Finding parking. There is some noise problem with a disco on one side of the hotel on certain nights. Probably worth asking for a suitably situated room if this is likely to be a problem. Light breakfast high price of Internet noise isolation. Location off putting. Having been robbed in Palermo two weeks previously was nervous of run down areas.
