This place has wonderful facilities within an outstanding setting. This is our third stay in the last 6 months. We think it is great value for the euro spent. We liked everything here. Very good hotel! Excellent high class interiors, very new technical devices in the rooms. Fantastic ceilings! Helpful staff!. fantastic setting, very tranquil, staff very friendly and rooms very clean. The spa is very well maintained.

Location, Restaurant and environment. Excellent Spa but no timeto use this.The only thing we would like to recommend is to prolong the working hours of the Spa. Most of the people would apreciate if they had the possibility to go there after 19.00 after their sightseeing programmes. Nothing except the fact that they are still building on site atm and can be a little noisey during the day.It would be great if there was lighting for the Hotel Sign at the end of the drive as it was very hard to see at night and easy to miss. Ongoing construction work at time of stay. The restaurant menu was poor and the food over fussy. Some difficulties to find the hotel especially in the evening. you can not find the hotel adress on the GPS. Was surprised at the distance from Montepulciano but after that all was well.The staff could be a little bit more attentive and it is not acceptable to not have your room being cleaned at 3:00 Pm when you return from a day of touring the country side. We were charged 80 euros for a return taxi ride to Montepulciano. This was far too much - could the hotel arrange better rates for residents or offer their own evening shuttle?. As mentioned above, me and my family we were not happy with the idea of having to pay an extra cost of 60 Euros ( My 2 sons are 3 and 9 years old) in order to be able to use the SPA pool, which was described as an interior pool on your webside, and no extra cost was mentioned. Actually this was the reason why we sellected your resort. It was a wonderful weekend at Poggio Alla Sala Resort but if you really want to combine the tuscan agriturismo experience with a more modern, luxurious twist then I feel like the breakfast could have been a great opportunity to explore a more savoury and traditional integration of traditional tuscan foods and high-end service. The wait staff did an excellent job.not enough information about Spa etc. Prices of the hotel's restaurant / bar were reletively high. Despite the fact that the rooms are large and well equipped, the bathroom was only fitted with a shower.the heater is not warm enough. The rooms in the "out" building are not nearly as nice as the main building! The "single" beds are small and uncomfortable pull-outs. I continue to be surprised how little some of the desk staff know about the area and how hard it is to get reasonable restaurant suggestions and directions.Beds!!.

Information about the area

Montepulciano, at the southern end of the province of Siena on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, is within close reach of the most famous sites. These can be easily reached following itineraries through unforgettable landscapes: north-west towards Montepulciano, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni and the Val d’Orcia. South towards Chiusi and, carrying on, towards Città della Pieve, Orvieto and Civita di Bagno Regio, the spectacular “dying city”. To the east is Monte Cetona, at the foot of which are located the three charming medieval villages of Sarteano, San Casciano dei Bagni and Cetona. Finally, to the west, are the lakes of Chiusi and Trasimeno, natural oases of rare beauty. A little further away, but never more than one hour’s drive, are Montalcino, Cortona, Siena and Perugia.
