Thanks so much again, also to the unknown service employee, who found this piece. This was a very pleasant experience and shows that this hotel is run by professionals who care about customers. all reviews » Booked a Double Room Look. The room and bathroom were very big with ultra modern design. The hotel is located very close to the train station (2 minutes walk) and therefore is suitable for travellers seeking to visit Venezia. And, by the way, the hotel do look like the pictures in this website (not like one of the other reviewers suggested). Staff was very nice and attentive. The BD Couple :-). The location is the Key to this hotel. We just came to visit Venice from Florence by train. The hotel is across the street from the train station. We were able to take the train ($1 euro) or #2 bus for free with our 48 hour pass on the Venice transportation pass. The hotel breakfast was fabulous and the bar even opened a bottle of wine that I had brought back to the room. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice. It is right across from the train station to go into Venice. The breakfast was the best we had in Europe! They had English TV stations which was nice so we could catch some news!. The location, we walked with our luggage from the train station and the next day walked to the bus to get to the airport. And it was so nice and clean roomy, helpful, great restaurant on site!! Couldn't have been better!!!. The hotel is well designed, well maintained, and all services(including restaurant) and staff are exemplary. Free internet is anexceptional and excellent feature (though inevitably constantly over-used by the guests!). Very close yet not in Venice. 1 min from train which is 10 min from Venice. We had a car so it was 20 min to the airport on departure. No need to deal with Venice for logistics so we could enjoy Venice for the majic. Convenient location, next to train station, easy to commute to Venice. The hotel staff ignored our non-smoking booking and placed us in smoking rooms, we booked 2 rooms, then told us our reservation didn't state our preference, when infact it did. One of the rooms had no telephone service and the air conditioner wasn't functioning. They did however make it right the next 3 nights and upgraded that room for us after more rooms became available and all was forgiven.breakfast - no fresh vegetable or fruit, also needed a lot of time to get coffe or tea. Wish it had extra pillows in the room. Also, across from the train station there can be a little noise depending on the room you have.Nothing. All in my travel was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was a little bit of a mess. They could do with 1 or 2 other staff members on duty at this time to clear tables, replace cutlery/cups etc- though this is only a minor complaint. Could hear what was going on - particularly TV - in neighbouring rooms. no free internet. Same breakfast for 7 days is extremely boring, no tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, just the same ham, cheese, eggs... Wireless internet should be paid for, specific smell in the room (not really annoying though).1) The web site mentions a shuttle service to the Marco Polo airport which doesn't exist. There is is a public transportation service which is nearest stop is about 300 mts from the hotel; too much if you are traveling with kids and luggage. 2) The front desk staff was kind of impredictable in their reactions from courteous an gentle to very rude. 3) There is a parking lot that can be full. My daughter thought that the reception staff were a little snooty but I thought they were very helpful.The road and train noise was quite loud when the window was open, you could not feel the air con cooling the room, it was quite warm. Mestre is not a very safe area at night, so I would suggest to have meals inside the hotel or in Venice. A tad spendy!. Service reg. room service could have been better - forgot to refill Kleenex tissues and toilet paper - which is no big issue, but a four star hotel should not forget that. The room was very noisy....It should be better isolated - we could even hear very clear the neighbour room water in the tubes in the walls.The service of the waiters or the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant are very unpolite and insufficient. Tables and restaurant are not clean. Service is terrible.Our elect. door key expired every night and had to be updated which was a hustle. One night we came late took a shower and to our surprise didnt find any towels in the bathromm. Cleaners changed them and forgot to put new ones!!. Friends stayed in a room and said too much road noise.I don t think so that we must pay so much and especially for the car parking! the clients must not pay the parking. Air condition and decoration. Its a 3 Star Hotel from a NorthAmerican Standards. If you want pay low price for this hotel, book wayin advance. Hotel was full, so very busy around breakfast buffet, a little more space would be better. Coffee at breakfast not good, little flavour, but rest of buffet good. Position of bread toaster not convenient. Restaurant rather expensive.Requested high floor, quiter room but allocated low floor above traffic intersection. I think the hall carpets need to be replaced and the walls painted. It gave us a poor first impression. Also there were bags of garbage or laundry sitting in the hall for awhile. The rooms were very clean however.
