Giovanni is a fantastic host and a beautiful soul! I had a lovely room, which was spotlessly cleaned by friendly staff. My breakfast on the terrace was superb (home made assortments of cheese, fresh fruit and coffee, everyday there is a little something different) and other guests were a joy to talk with. When I say talk with, I was forgiven for my lack of Italian and we had fun with the google translator. Nothing is too much trouble for Giovanni and he has many lovely friends, who will make yo.
all reviews » This B&B certainly deserves the high rating on letsbookhotel.com. The location is in the middle of this small seaside town. There are views of the ruins of Selinunte from the beautiful breakfast terrace. Our room was very cute and "honeymooney". Great bed and shower too. Clean, quiet, very comfy. Our host Giovanni was super. Very warm and friendly, a native of the town. Giovanni took care of us completely. Breakfast was prepared by our host; this was a great collection of the local stuff, . A very clean nice room, excellent bathroom and awfully friendly owner. Nice vieuw over the Antiquities from the roofgarden. We were made very welcome with a nice drink and some fruit when we arrived. Breakfast was wonderfull and even after checking out we were allowed to read our books on the terras and were offered nice coffee. From our room we could see the Selinunte temples. That's how good the location is. The breakfast was truly magnificent... the best we had in 8 locations throughout Sicily. Parking was right outside the b and b. Marinella has lots of restaurants near the sea with good, reasonably priced food. This b and b is a joy to stay in. Everything is excellent (very nice, very clean, comfortable, very close to great archaeological site Selinunte, etc., etc.), overall the place is highly recommended, and the mentioned "didn't like" positions are really minor. It does worth staying while visiting that part of Sicily!. The host was very friendly and helpful with local directions. Our room was comfortable but the décor is a bit elaborate. Breakfast was superb, freshly baked breads, and Sicilian products. The view from the terrace to the Temples is impressive. We loved everything! Giovanni is superb, gracious, kind and caring host! Facilities were well taken care of, selection of décor is very tasteful, and breakfast on the roof terrace, overlooking the ruins of the Selinunte was simply awesome. The host was great, location of B&B to the archaeological site is 5-10 mins, The rooms was very clean, modern with plenty of space.And not forgetting the breakfast which was the best we had in all our two week tour of Sicily. Front door is too heavy. - very little English of the staff (but still they are extremely friendly!) - location in the middle of plain living district (but GPS does work to get there!) - no private parking (but the streets near by are almost empty!) - no buffet breakfast (but the pastries are tasty and fresh!) Anyway all above is really minor. We could only stay 1 night. Not being able to pay with a credit or debit card. The rooms' decoration was a bit over the edge. Having to leave. Bit too much pot-pourri! Some more info on locality, sights etc would be apprecviated. n/a. Nothing. The breakfast is not as luxurious as you see in the pictures. Nothing not to like, there are cheaper B&B's in Selinunte however less well equipped. lack of restaurants near hotel. nothing.
