Signora Filippa is a lovely little old lady, who lets out a couple of rooms in her home. Our room was clean and more than adequate. She let us have boiling water to make tea/coffee when we asked for it. We were in the middle of Marettimo vilage,and the weather was hot (early Sept), so the window was wide open and a ceiling fan kept us reasonably cool; a few of the village people sat outside in the street close by our 1st floor window chatting in the cool of the evening, but we didn't find this .
This was a very comfortable and basic place to stay. Clean and comfortable. The owner was a very nice older lady who opened up her home. Rooms were adequate with comfortable beds and plenty of room. On suite baths. Nothing fancy but cost effective and allows you to feel the true culture of the island. Owner speaks no English but that adds to the adventure. Very clean en-suite room in a traditional Sicilian family home. The twin bedroom is a good size with a smaller connecting room with table, chairs & a small bed - ideal for a child. Fridge included for personal use during stay. Guests are free to come and go as they please. House is in a great location on a beautiful and isolated island. Filippa was always very friendly & helpful with information about exploring Marettimo.

Be aware she does not provide breakfast but plenty of places get a nice breakfast in the town for low cost. Not any real issue.
