The friendly atmosphere of the staff. Everybody helped me all the time.
If you desire to be at the beach, it's very close to all the private and public beaches. Convenient also if you want to take the bus and go to Rome.
I was lucky that I had friends that came to pick me up with their car. Be patient about traffic if you come from Canada. It is busy.
Weather was awesome. I was there the last week of August and first of September.

Stayed there for one night and everything was fine. Had a room on the second floor of the building to the right (not the one where the reception is). A window in the room was facing the wall of the building with the reception, but there also was a small balcony, so I was able to see a part of the see from it.
WiFi worked fine (had good video connectivity via Skype).
Generally, Lido di Ostia is very good option for beach leisure, for traveling to Rome (40mins by suburban train/metro for 1.50euro.

Good value for money; seaside location; friendly and helpfull staff;
reasonable room (I had sea-view), quiet thanks to good, hermetic
windows, despite location at busy street; shower-cabin in the bathroom
(not usual in Italy); very good coffee and tea served for breakfast;
convenient and fast train/metro access to the city of Rome; lot of
free street car-parking places (off-season).
I only stayed overnight at Ping Pong, arriving very late at night and
leaving fairly early for my flight. It is a functional place located
about 20 min away from Fiumicino Airport by bus. For the price of 29
Euro the hotel offered much; in fact the breakfast was more than
abundant. If I am to spend a longer time at Lido di Ostia, I would
certainly choose this lodging again.
liked the self service breakfast, constant supply of hot water, the cleanliness was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. i loved the balcony view of the sea and beach and looking at it everyday, i have recommended to friends to stay at your hotel.
Wiew even from room on the side of building was very nice. Room was suitable for me. Stuff were friendly, specially cleaning lady from my floor were really warm and friendly with me. Other guests were nice and friendly. Breakfast was pretty nice. Situation was perfect.
excellent price for the location and facilities. very close to airport (15 mins by car) and located close to restaurants and shops. Free parking right in front of the hotel. Right next to a beach. Staff were very friendly and did their best to make us comfortable.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION, right on the front, you can't get nearer the beach and it's right near the centre where the restaurants and bars are. Lovely owner who was very helpful. TV and lift.
The reception was very kind, it supports us a lot with different questions. The room was clean. The hotel is very close to sea and it has a nice place to sit in front of the hotel.

Just stating what was written in previous reviews:
- Shower cabin is really small
- Breakfast lacks of meat/eggs.
Small housekeeping (deep dirt layer on top of the wardrobe) and
maitenance problems (faulty bathroom doors - room 22); except for
cheese, exclusively sweet breakfast (big variety of pastry, jam, honey,
yoghurt). Not directly related to hotel: very expensive beach access;
free, public beach outside (south) of town.

we did not get to stay in the part that was shown in picture we got the old part which had an old crumbling balcony the breakfast was ok but could have had a better choice ie eggs or cold meat.
Very poor breakfast. We were told that breakfast is served from 7 to 10 am. At 9:20, there was nothing to eat left (no bread, no croissants). When I asked the waiter for some bread, the answer was: all is finished. At 9:20. Anyway, the variety at breakfast was very limited.
The hotel is not good for longer stay (2 nights maximum).
No transportation between airport and hotel except taxi and bus (no shuttle). Taxi very very expensive. Bus is cheap, but station is 10 min walk from hotel. It would be nice if the hotel had a shuttle.

The room was dark and the view of our room was disgracefull. The internet was poor, not always is working to the 2nd floor. The food was very poor, just some italian cakes. The air conditioning is strange and it has no effect. The shower is just for small persons and the TV has only italian channels. The wardrobe was very old. The price is very big, comparing with the conditions.
