  The man who greeted us there was great. We got in late at Marco Polo airport and we weren't entirely sure how to get there, but when we did he was standing outside of his hotel waiting for us and he called out my name when he saw to people with luggage. There was also a bus stop literally right outside of the hotel directly across the street that... what people say » takes you immediately into Venice. Getting back was more difficult. We were there for only two days so we never really had time to figure it out exac - Hotel is close to the airport Marco Polo. You can take a bus and will reach campalto in 10min. Venice can be reached by bus within 15 min from the Casa Gaia. The busstop is just infront of the Hotel. Make sure you buy a ticket in the tabaccheria next to the hotel. Besides if you are in Venice for a couple of days there are some nice offers for tickets, which you can use for buses and boats and which are valid for 2 or 3 days.   We liked everything. The staff speak English as well as Russian (for those who dont speak Italian). The owner was so kind, that gave us two parking spaces for our cars free of charge in the property garden and the staff was so nice, they provided all the facilities what you need including fridge (to keep baby food), boiled water (to prepare baby f... what people say » ood and tea). For those travelling with babies or children Locanda Cavalli is the best option. The property is located in a really quiet street, maki - Friendly and comfortable place in Mestre we used this as a base to explore Venice and surrounding areas from. The place is modern and air-conditioned with double glazed windows, very comfortable. Easy walk to nearby "Voltourno" bus station which is easy to get to town and to Venice on. Difficult to get a bus timetable anywhere though with connections etc. We took the T1 from Voltourno to Columbo (2 stops) then onto the 4L to Venice.

  Locando al Convento is quintessential Italy!! It was so beautiful nestled in the countryside. I loved the chickens, goats, cats etc... on the grounds. So peaceful after traveling a bunch. The perfect spot! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And the restaurant was so charming and authentic. The food was very good! I highly recommend if y... what people say » ou are looking for that unique kind of place. - Our en-suite bedroom was very cosy, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We immediately decided this was the best accommodation we had so far during our trip through Europe. We already recommended it to our family & friends.
