  B&B Milano Bella was not only the best place I stayed in a 2 1/2 week trip to Italy, it was also the best value! Martin could not have been more hospitable, the room was lovely and quiet with an excellent bed, the breakfast in the shared space (the B&B has just two rooms) delicious. When Martin learned that I was interested in the Pinoteca... what people say » di Brera Gallery he immediately pulled out a large book full of beautiful reproductions of work in the Gallery. He also helped me find an inexpensive - The flat we were in had 2 rooms, Our room was excellent: it was newly refurbished, very clean and with a new bathroom. From outside the other room looked as good. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. He gave us a lot of pointers and made us feel very much at ease. He also prepared the breakfast for us and it was good, but of course not as good (mostly in terms of variety) as you'd get in a 4* hotel. The location is also very good. It's 1-2 minutes walking from Porta Venezia subway station,
