  The hotel staff was very polite and extremely helpful. The hotel room is spacious and grand, quite medieval venetian style. The hotel gardens and the surroundings are fascinating for an early morning stroll. Do eat in the hotel even though it's expensive as their executive chef menu is something to behold. I will always remember the valentine's day... what people say » special menu; it was super! - We were upgraded to a junior suite which was absolutely wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful...5 star service. The location is also perfect. The shuttle worked like a charm. The breakfast, which was included in the rate, was excellent.

We would definitely recommend this accommodation for the location alone, but the room was also big and comfortable with all the amenities we needed.   Maria Elisabetta and Rodolfo are a wonderful young couple who take great care of their guests. The location of the Residenza is perfect (next to San Marco but away from the crowd, and not far away from the Castello area where the Biennale takes place and where there are plenty of great authentic restaurants). We stayed in the Artist room which was neat, quiet and very clean, with a lovely view over the canal. The - In one word - Excellent. Location - perfect (near San Marco square, but on the small quiet street). Room - clean and cozy. Bathroom - big, light and clean, clean and clean (hairdryer, toiletries, towels are included). Breakfast - very good (choice of yoghurts, meat, cheese, bread, jam, juice, coffee, tea, etc.) Owner - intelligent, polite and friendly person with great sense of humor. All together this will make your stay in this hotel perfect.

There is no staff to speak of but the one man who signed us in was very efficient.
