  The location is superb. Quiet square with absolutely beautiful surroundings. Easily walking distance to outlying areas as well as the tourist-centric sites. Breakfast is impressive - not like most Venetian hotels, there is an extensive breakfast with coffee barista! Bathrooms were huge with jaccuzzi tubs. In Venice, you don't always get what you pay for, but Palazzo Giglio delivers with luxury service - We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated and we were greeted with a fresh fruit basket on arrival plus a bottle of sparkling Italian wine. The breakfast was nicely presented and the location was just a few minutes walk to St Marks Square and only a couple of minutes from the Vaporetta.

For those who love to shop or window shop its a great location near all the designer stores, and very close to St Mark's Square and the Accademia. You ring the bell and sign in in the upper communal area. Our friends stayed in a three star hotel down the road and we were not allowed in to have some rest with them but instead was treated like animals.   Were able to sleep 5 in one room for the night, very affordable, in the heart of the city, and easy enough to get to from the airport via the Alilaguna water service. We did have to haul all our cruise luggage through the streets from the stop, and over 2 canals, but was worth it in the end for the location.   We were made feel very welcome Staff were always helpful. Our flight home was cancelled and we booked in again for 2 extra nights and hotel reduced the rate for us. Overall fantastic - Excellent staff, good location, a well-run hotel.

  Fantastic location (5-10 minutes to St Marco Square) and super friendly and helpful staff. Mario happily greeted us for a very late 11:30 PM check-in when our flight was delayed. A lovely breakfast of cheese, meat, eggs, fruit, pastries, cereals, juice and coffee/tea. Room was large and airy with a private courtyard. We got great recommend... what people say » ations for local restaurants not frequented by tourists. We were also given lots of tips on travel to less frequented outer islands on the vaporetto - For the price, it had just about everything. The shower room was spacious and well heated; the bedroom was fine; the breakfast room served a good range of food (although the bread was dry on one morning of our 4-day stay); the location was well-nigh perfect. Being able to store baggage after checking out was a boon.
