  The suite was large and very comfortable. Excellent view over St Mark's Square. The location was very handy to St Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace as well as to the shops and restaurants. Right on the square so we were able to sit in the air conditioned room and look out over the crowded square. It was very warm outside, but cool inside. Beautifully decorated Venetian room. Nice bathroom too. Be aware you have to check in at a hotel around the corner.

  The location is excellent! It's really close to Piazza San Marco. Also, I was sent directions by hotel staff in advance, so it was very easy to find the place (which usually can be quite tricky in Venice).   We stayed at the Casanova apartment. The owner met us in the square where the apartment is and he was very friendly and showed us around the flat, gave us a map of the city, told us where the nearest vaporetto stop, supermarket etc is located. The flat is very central, only a few minutes walk from St Mark's square (must be the most crowded place... what people say » I have ever seen in my life) and equally close to Rialto bridge. When I booked the place, reading all the reviews I was convinced there would be no - The apartment (vivaldi) was very clean and the staff friendly. They didn't have a booking for our last day so they let us check out at 6pm. The apartment is not only central but in a proper strategic spot, everything was only 5 minutes away. It was warm, comfortable and gave lots of privacy. The two bedrooms were on the opposite sides of the apartment. The best thing was the terrace on top of the roof.   Our room was basic but good value for money. We were in the heart of Venice, just a few minutes from St. Mark's Square and ideally located for everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. - We left a pair of boots by mistake and we came back later to ask and they returned. The breakfast is ok. The staff is very helpful.

  The hotel made us feel welcome even before we arrived by sending us an email giving us directions and general information. Once we did arrive the staff were very polite and friendly and we were pleased to find the the hotel was ideally located close to St Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge and Academy. Ca'Fortuny is also very close to several restaurants and shops - an ideal location! - Breakfast was very nicely tended and the staff was amazingly courteous at all times of the day (even late night). The location is fantastic (5 minutes from Rialto bridge and 7 minutes to Piazzo San Marco). There is plenty of shopping and eats in the area. Rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are newly renovated and very clean.
