The double room we booked was really large (the bathroom too). It was clean and relatively freshly refurbished. Old hotel that has been renovated extensively. The room was was very large with a hallway leading to the bathroom. Very clean and tidy. Staff and owners struggled a bit with English. The hotel was right in the middle of Stresa and very close to ferrys to islands. Very hard to find as name on building is not the name in Booking .com.

Very friendly and helpful personnel, very clean place, I can see how owners invested lots of effort in the hotel, much appreciated. Definitely a decent place. Close to the train station, close to the supermarket. Good clean kitchen. Excellent bathroom. Very good view, also from a balcony. Separate elevator entrance. Free wifi. -

The apartment was big and very comfortable, we stayed at the apartment with a clear lake view, we were 2 with a kid and the rooms were spacious. You have plenty of restaurants, super market, bus stop and train station nearby. Kitchen is fully loaded and all rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. I really liked the big balcony with lake view where you can relax for long hours..Highly recommended !!
