It is this heartfelt passion, born out of family tradition, combined with the freshest family-grown produce that makes every meal a memorable one.

The Restaurant at Poggio del Sole is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As this is a true family restaurant, casual dress is appropriate, children are welcome, and reservations are not necessary.

Half-board at Poggio del Sole includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner. And of course, as this is your vacation, happy hour is every hour.

After all of your feasting, don't forget to ask about purchasing a bottle or two of some of the hotel's homemade wine or liqueurs to take home to friends and family. They offer lemon, strawberry, melon, liquorice, arugula (rocket), basil, walnut, or coffee flavours.

Important information to guests

If you need assistance with directions or any other information about Ischia please contact the hotel directly. From November to March, please contact the hotel prior to arrival to inform them of your estimated arrival time. The shuttle service to/from the thermal spa and city centre is at 10:30, 11:00 and 18:00. The shuttle to/from the train station is at an extra cost.

Information about the area

Ischia is the biggest and most beautiful island in the Gulf of Naples and is one of the most famous seaside and touristic spa centres in the world. It is also famous for its unequalled natural beauty, mild climate, thermal waters, modern tourist facilities and most of all, for its wine which has been produced on the island for many years.

Forio (where the hotel is located), is the second major town of Ischia and stretches between 2 promontories: Punta Caruso (at Zaro) and Punta Imperatore. It is the only town on the island which has preserved its entire historical centre with its tiny streets, churches, towers and monuments - all of which are unaltered from their original construction.

The wavy shoreline of Forio allows bathing not just from the beaches but also from other more secluded spots. It is also just a short bus ride to the natural hot springs of Sorgeto, a favorite place in any season for a therapeutic midnight dip.

Arrivando in aereo all'aeroporto di Napoli Capodichino, sarà possibile raggiungere il Molo Beverello (partenze Linee Lauro e Caremar) o il porto di Mergellina (aliscafi Lauro e Snav) utilizzando taxi o un bus navetta che collega l'aeroporto al Molo Beverello.

Arrivando in treno sarà conveniente dirigersi in taxi, tram o bus (fermata piazza Municipio) al Molo Beverello, distante circa 2 Km.
