The staff were really really great!!! They allowed us to store our bags with them for 3 days while we travelled to the Cinque Terre. They were really helpful in advising us things to do in Genoa and places to go for dinner (the rec for Soho was great! Probably the best meal we had!) It's a typical European room (i.e., small bedroom, small bathroom), but it had AC (which was necessary) and the hotel is in a great location, only a minute to Via Garibaldi and 5 or so mins to Piazza de Ferrari and .
all reviews » The hotel's central location in Genoa was its biggest benefit. Walking distance from the main train station, and very accessible to all that the old city of Genoa has to offer. Plenty of food options close by, as well as the funicular to the surrounding areas. The quirky retro feel of the hotel with original art was a pleasant surprise. It was extremely clean and all staff/owners very polite and helpful. Location was good. We had a fairly large room. Very clean. Typical 3 star hotel. Had a lot of facilities we didn't make use of such as gym and reading rooms etc, only stayed one night in transit. They give you a complimentary croissant and coffee even though if you book on Bookings.com it states there is no breakfast. We really loved this hotel- mainly because of its location (right beside the palazzos of Genoa) but also because it was quiet, clean and welcoming. Situation, its quirkiness, staff helpfulness. close to trsnsport. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast included in the room cost. Hotel ambience. Very helpful staff. The location on the third floor may be off-putting altho there is a small lift to overcome this. Perhaps the external look of the building facing the street was a little drab. Must say the carpet made it feel pretty cheap, change that and it would really feel like a much better hotel, however having said that the quality of the carpet is not the reason you stay in a hotel! But you did ask what I didn't like. Nothing, was all good. Great location,friendly staff,best cornette in all Italy. Location - difficult to find and access because of the complex and very busy Genoese traffic. On arrival sent out into the dark to find a public car park - ended up miles from the hotel! We decided not to make a return stay as originally planned because of this problem. Would recommend other visitors to find a hotel in Genoa with its own reservable parking!. Hotel was difficult to find by car. Being on the 3rd floor and having an old and small lift, makes things difficult for those who have heavy bags.
