The Spiga d'Oro was a great farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany. It was conveniently located so that we were able to do some wonderful day trips within a reasonable drive: Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Montepuliciano. The accommodations were great. Our kitchen was well-equipped and they offered a welcome basket of essential provisions; however there was a very nice little grocers in a small town about 1Km away if needed. Great facilties (pool & hot tub), and beatiful, clean apartment.
But the most amazing thing was meeting Antonietta & Sandro. Great people !!. The breakfasts served by Antonietta were superb, and the most generous breakfast of any place we stayed in Italy. I particularly enjoyed the conversations, even though we each struggled with the other's language. We hope to get back there one day soon, with more of our family and friends.

The staff was incredibly helpful during our stay. The building is brand new and I assume that we were one of the first guests in the apartment. The pool and the hot tub were very nice and I won't forget the incredible Tuscan views from the backyard. I recommend this place for everyone without any doubt. All the best for Guido and his team! -
