This splendid Florentine villa was built in 1700. It was a family residence up until 1950 when it was converted into an elegant hotel. It is set in a green neighbourhood of Florence, next to the Fortezza da Basso exhibition centre and its park. Each guest room at the Royal is air conditioned. The rooms and common areas are all tastefully decorated with period furnishings. This family-run hotel guarantees a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and an attentive service. We appriciated the old fashioned style. And being able to go to theswimmingpool after a tiering day was the highlight. Easy access - close to center but still very quiet. No. I have aready recomended the hotel to my doughter and her husbandwho will be visiting Florenzia in september. The quality of breakfast is poor.
