We had the exact room as the photos on the web, make sure to book the suite if you want that room. wonderful fresco, the staff are super friendly/helpful, and reccomended a nice restaurant cross the street. perfect place to stay if you travel lite coz no elevator. location is ideal, close the duomo and in walking distance to almost everywhere. Well i cannot write here in few lines what we liked in the hotel. All the hotel is amasing. Definitely the best hotel we stayed. And we like travelling. It was close to Duomo. The rooms amasing, the kitchen amasing and soooooo cute. And extremely helpfull staff. A must see in Florence :-). all reviews »
The friendly staff and the overwhelmingly warm welcome. Advice of where to visit withing the town and what restaurants to use. The cleanliness of all of the rooms. The general feeling of being at home from the beginning. The room was huge! The bathroom was the largest of our entire 3 weektrip :) There are only 9 rooms so there was terrific staff attention.Bonus: Private balcony!!. excellent service and quality of the staff and hotel; good and quiet location; beautiful and clean room; plenty and good breakfast;. Parking arrangements with nearby garage a bit chaotic and expensive. The lady taking care of the breakfast and celaning was at best unfriendly and at worst very rude.A listed building so no lift. Some may find this difficult, but for most carrying luggage to the firest floor is worth it to experience the hotel. There was nothing we did n't like about our stay but I can imagine for some customers that breakfast is not a lavish affair but simple with choice. There are no coffee making facilities in the room and room service is not on offer, however the staff are extremely helpful.lack of tea/coffee making facilities. No wireless internet and reception was not 24hrs. We had trouble checking out early to find there was nobody there after being told there was always someone at reception by work experience girl.. she was very helpful though. After realising there was nobody there we then read about receptions opening hours in the guest info in the room... a bit of a misunderstanding. The staff was helpful though.Hotel impossible to find. Area felt unsafe, especially at night.The hotel was falsely advertised as a 4 star hotel, but it is in fact a bed and breakfast. The day to day cleaning could have been better. No Hotel sign outside om the street, Breakfast, problems to pay because the VISA link was't avaible ( paid in cash ).

All Buses that go to Piazza S. Marco (numbers 17, 11, 10 and 6) are ok. Stop in Via Martelli, turn right to Via de Pucci, then go straight ahead to Via S. Egidio, after the Ospedale S. Maria Nuova. You will find the hotel at number 12.
Or take bus number 14 to the bus stop in Via del Proconsolo. Then turn back towards the Duomo and you will find Via dell'Oriuolo. At the end of the street turn left in Via S.Egidio.
On Foot:
Palazzo Galletti is situated about a 15 minute walk from S.M.Novella railway station. From the station walk in the direction of Piazza del Duomo, along via Cerretani. Walk across the Dome and you will find Via dell'Oriuolo. At the end of the street turn left into Via S.Egidio
