This hotel is in a building from 1200 and Dante's wife was born here in this building. Awesome piece of history from the 12 foot ceilings to the tall windows and wow, what a front door.. Rooms overlooking the garden are beautiful. Staff is warm and friendly, the hotel is only a few steps from the Doma. Amazing to stay here and walk on the cobble streets and drink in the history.
Great location in the heart of Florence, easy walking distance to al of the sights. This hotel is in a very old building with some interesting internal features. The staff were excellent - helpful and informative. Tea & coffee making facilities and fridges were a welcome inclusion too.all reviews »
Staff were friendly and helpful. Booked tickets for galleries etc so I didn't have to queue. Breakfast voucher was available everyday for small cafés close by as no food At the hotel - coffee and pastry. Close to all the main sites and only about 15 minute walk to the station.
The staff was extremely friendly and made themselves readily available for any questions, recommendations, directions, etc. And, though it was my first time using a shared bathroom, I can't imagine one cleaner than the one they kept. There was never a wait to use it either.

The shower with the dotty/spotty curtain was fab! We moved our room so very peaceful and nice to look at courtyard garden. Everyone so helpful too.

Don't exactly like sharing a bathroom, but it was really no inconvenience, as a bathroom was always available and immaculate.
A lot of street noise into the early hours, from nearby bars. Not for light sleepers or those without earplugs!.
Bit of street noise but hey your in Italy and you get earplugs.
My room was slightly cold, though I'm sure had I raised the issue to the staff they would've happily helped me adjust the temperature. And, there were plenty of blankets supplied.

It is not the fault of the Hotel itself, but it is so noisy on the
street that people are shouting even till 3:00am, almost can't sleep
