Very close to town, very clean facilities and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome!. hotel staff and cleanliness of the room, location and peace.The location was great. It was right new to the train station and close to the historical city center. The room was clean and had two windows that helped make the room bigger. It was in a perfect location the beds were very comftorable and staff very helpful and friendly.Location was easily accesible by public transport, beautiful balcony , large room with basic decor, very friendly staff. The hotel was clean, rooms were a decent size, and it was close everything.Excellent location right next to Santa Maria Novella and the train station. There was a sink in the room so it made not having my own bathroom a little more bearable. The bathroom was right next door so it wasn't too bad. There was a second bathroom on the same floor. Aged tiled flooring. Because we had to open the windows since there was no a/c and it was hot when we were visiting, there was a lot of noise from the street outside in the morning. But if you're waking up early, it's not that much of a problem. A lot of steps to climb to get to the room - about 7-8 flights to get to the 2nd floor - the ceilings are really high so it makes the floors really tall. The room was a size of a walk-in closet but for one person who only needed a bed - it was ok - I did not spend much time in the hotel anyway. The room smelled a bit like cigarettes - I guess it was a smoking room. Make sure you bring ear plugs - no matter where you sleep in Florence - it's loud and there are crowds on the street at 2am.
