We stayed here because we had an early flight out of Fiumicino the next morning. We had our medium sized dog with accompanying us as well. The staff was super friendly and check-in was easy considering our late arrival time. The hotel is very clean and spacious. The bed was fantastic and we had a great night's sleep. It was a short distance from the airport and we were able to park our car with most of our belongings in their secure parking area behind the hotel. This hotel was truly a hidden g.
all reviews » This hotel was perfect for our needs- overnight before an early morning flight back to the us. We were traveling with my parents and had the most comfortable quadruple room for two couples. The female daytime staff person was so helpful with everything (cabs, transport, restaurants). She went over and above spending almost 90 minutes helping me find an English website and proper way to turn off my Italian sim card. Great hotel for airport travel. The hotel was very welcoming and in a safe diverse Italian neighborhood with good food options and easy access. The staff were warm and friendly and the rooms were spacious, breakfast was included as was shuttle service. We took the train to the airport after our time in Venice and the free shuttle picked us up. It was perfect for a last night in Italy before returning home. The hotel is very good. The room is big and clean. The design of the room is very clean and young/business fashion. The location it was good (for who want to stay near from the airport), they have a transfer service until 10pm. The breakfast is good, but they don´t have fruits or eggs. We only stayed for 1 night. The hotel was close to the airport, had a free shuttle bus,was quiet, clean, had a polite and helpful staff and free wifi. Very convenient to the airport, and the room was very comfortable and clean. In stark contrast to the lovely day time staff, the male overnight staff was quite sour, rigid and unwilling to go out of his way in the slightest (I.E. to pay with credit versus cash, or split a bill). It's still a great hotel, but the attitude of staff makes a huge difference. The staff could be more friendly. Wouldn't stay here if visiting Rome city centre, too far out. Their window coverings really do block out all sunlight!. The hotel isn't in that great of a neighborhood but its extremely close to the airport. The shuttle bus is a Courtyard Marriott shuttle bus so don't look for it to say Comfort Hotel. I went out to get some food and when I got back the receptionist told me there was no eating in the room and I'd have to eat my dinner in the dining room. The queen size bed was two small mattresses pushed together. All of the rooms don't have balconies because mine didn't. Nothing to report. It took nearly an hour waiting for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport. No English TV! Beds could have been more comfortable. Shower was too small. Touch panel light/ power switch. Very difficult to see or work out what you were turning on. There was a charge of $85.78 ( Canadian ) on my Visa bill from G.I.A.R. Gestioni Immobilfiumicino. I was told it was connected to the hotel. If that is the case I would appreciate knowing what the charge was for. It served our purpose- what's not to like. Transportation from the airport to the hotel was complicated and not easy. There was really nothing we didn't like. nothing. Airport shuttle did not start until 6:40 am, which seems a bit late for an airport hotel next to a very large international airport. Ended up having to take a taxi for 20 euros since shuttle wasn't running. Booking staff did not give correct info about the transport included with the hotel booking. The buses stop runnninf after 22:00. letsbookhotel.com should let customers know since the booking included free transport. Very poor. Shuttle signs and information at the airport were poor. We waited a long time for the "free airport shuttle" and ended up paying for a taxi to take us to the hotel, an added expense. There was also a problem the next morning getting back to the airport because space on the shuttle is limited. We were happy for the free hotel shuttle, but the hotel is actually about 15-20 minutes from the airport, which we hadn't anticipated in booking an "airport hotel." The hotel also isn't close to much in the town of Fiumicino, but the staff was helpful and gave us directions to a nice place to eat about a 15 min walk away. Poor lighting , if you want to read very dim. This hotel suited our needs perfectly. Would recommend this hotel for proximity to airport. Not located for anything but this. But accommodations were very good. Very difficult to find Shuttle Bus pick up point at airport. There was no indication on booking confirmation. Kind of difficult to find while driving a rental car. No possibility of eating in the hotel in the evening. Difficult to locate the shuttle at the airport - not clearly marked.
