The village of Fiesole at this time of year is peaceful and friendly. There are interesting buildings and archaeological remains. There is beautiful countryside around and some good walks, as well as breathtaking views of Florence.. There was a very good exhibition of modern sculpture in the main piazza. The transport into Florence is excellent - frequent and quick. This is a lovely old house in a very pretty town in the hills just outside Florence. Its quiet, friendly and comfortable, and the views are simply stunning. I thought this was really good value for money. You can catch a regular bus intot he centre of Florence from just down the road.
all reviews » Everything! Older lady (Mum) is a charming helpful lady who provides the best collection breakfast in Italy. She is very engaging although she speaks only Italian we understood every word. Gustavo the cat is nuts! I recommend you stay there and get room 1 for the view!!. Serena and her mother were charming and the breakfast just perfect to start the day. The view from the dining area is superb and the area very peaceful. Fiesole was an ideal location to visit Florence, it's only 20 minutes away by bus. Owners are lovely. View from the room is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. Fiesole is a beautiful peacefull village with amazing views , worth the travel out from Florence. A great place to stay, loved the panorama from my window, the kindness of the owners and the fabulous big balcony. Will definitely return when again in Fiesole. Fiesole, the terrace "garden", the restaurant down the road with a view of the Firenze Duomo. The slightly cool breezes....next to supermarket and Bancomat. The owner does only speak Italian. But she was indeed very helpful! Much better than I expected a one-star hotel!!. Breakfast with lots of different home-made jams and freshly produced bruschetta. The hotel is near the center of Fiesole and close to Florence. there is a little super-market very close to the hotel. The view from the hotel balcony was amazing. The staff was nice, but talked only Italian. The view from bedroom window and the good mattress. Spacious room. Good location. breakfast was good, but ouside, cold and miserable. Bathroom has shower over toilet. Internet is a bit weak. The heat of Firenze, but there's a bit to see in Fiesole... The owner does only speak Italian. But she was indeed very helpful!. No parking close to the hotel, no elevator to the rooms. WIFI signal was weak!. Noisy (building is situated between two busy streets). Bathroom not more than purely functional. We only ever saw one staff member (owner?) who did not speak any English. Lack of facilities, information, ensuite was a big plastic box in the room, difficult to see how or whether breakfast was available. the room, the bath and it didn't have what was described ( as TV) Shaggy place, very old and badly kept.
