A very nice, comfortable hotel in a tipical Tuscany 18th century villa. Rooms are very nice and quiet. The pool and the gardens with the idilic Tuscany views are fantastic. Very close, by car 5 min, to the city walls of Cortona. Close to the city of Cortona, peacefull and convenient either for family with children and couples.

Friendly staff made us tea when we arrived and again next morning with no extra charge. Beautiful big grounds in Tuscany. No restaurant options in the hotel and nearby. Breakfast rather poor. Swimming pool was too small. I think our floors needed vacuuming. No Restaurant or bar service at the pool.

By Car: Arriving from the A1 Autostrada (tollway) Milan- Naples, exit at “Valdichiana” whether coming from Florence or Rome. Follow the signs for the E45 superstrada (motorway) Siena-Perugia and go in the direction of Perugia.
Exit the superstrada at “Foiano-Cortona” and follow the signs for Cortona until you arrive in Camucia. At the traffic light in the middle of town follow the signs for the direction of Mercatale and along the way after 2,5 Km (just before Pergo) you will find the road and entrance to Villa Aurea.

By Train: The train stations near Villa Aurea are in Camicia or Terontola, and from these stations you can take a taxi to Villa Aurea.
