pleasant surroundings and staff,Near to lake .Pretty village and lakeside. very nice boutique hotel. the room was well organized. The staff were very polite, helpful and professional. Very good value for money, convenient parking (if hotel parking is full, there's a free public car park across the road), very clean, friendly staffs, good hotel restaurant, very near to Stresa where there's plenty of good restaurants.

The rooms were very clean, well prepared and very comfortable. Luckilythere was someone who spoke very good English on reception when wearrived, we don’t speak any Italian, which made the welcome even better.Unfortunately the hotel does not have a pool or access to the lakehowever; they have a relationship with the Hotel Carillon just down theroad, which does have access to the lake.The room was lovely, the bathroom quite big and very clean. Although the hotel was on quite a noisy road with the window shut it was very quiet, and there was air con in the room so having the window closed wasn't a big problem. The restaurant was amazing - but quite pricey so as we were on a budget we could only afford to eat there once!. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant and found the staff most accommodating, The position of the hotel suited our requirements.Friendly family-run hotel. rooms are tastely decorated,have a nice view over the lake ,the restaurant is good. modern rooms in good condition and that is unique in Italy, friendly staff. the village and the lake are grate. the location of the hotel is excellent.Good location. The restaurant is ecellent and is worth to visit. Prices ok. Thebreakfast buffet was ok (for italian condition).The bed was a little too hard and it would be useful to have the shower head not permanently fixed on the wall of the shower cubicle. I'm quite short so I can't reach it easily!. they can't cancel even one night from your booking. We had problems in the restaurant during the evening meal due to thelanguage barrier and a lack of understanding of the way Italians eattheir evening meals. We were also forgotten by the dinning room staffwhich meant a 1 hour diner turned into a 3 hour wait. The hotel is on abusy narrow road with mountains on one side and the lake on the other,so you should be cautious when walking. The breakfast wasn't great. There were some lovely fresh crossiants every day but apart from that there was instant coffee which was horrible and some very nasty wet reformed ham. It was a shame as the hotel was so nice it wouldn't have taken much to have fresh coffee and a slightly nicer ham.Breakfast a bit poor (coffee and cappuccino made by a automatic machine...). I thought that the breakfast was very limited.many mosquitoes in the area, although there were none in the hotel. Poor breakfast. The welcome! A woman with a barking dog introduced us. The mostimportant of this h/r is the restaurant. The breakfasts were poor - we ended up buying fruit to take in. We didn't like the atmosphere: there was a carelessness about the staff who seemed to take their cue from the proprietor. We were greeted on arrival by the father of the proprietor who was charming but once he had handed over responsibility to his son the following day we felt a distinct change of atmosphere.
