We arrived very late at night - but still were able to get the key to the room. The hotel is quiet, perfectly located, with planty of free parking spaces, and the beautifull trails are just a couple of minutes of drive from the hotel. The appartment was quite good furnished, the kitchen allows to prepare your own food. We had a very large balcony with a moutain view. Dogs are welcomed - so we have had no problems with our friend. There is also no national park around - so the dog can enjoy moun.
all reviews » Ski to door. Many skiing schools in the complex, with great instructors. There was a mix-up with our booking and we were very unhappy with the apartment we were offered at first. We complained and were given a spacious and very comfortable apartment, with a great view (at no extra cost). good location,lovely view from the balcony,friendly receptionists,big rooms,kitchen. The location was great, rooms with kitchen. Location is great, right next to slopes. Location - right next to the slopes. The setting next to the skislopes were excellent for our purpose. Everything you basically need except groceries very nearby. the communal bath was just over the road. Location was great esp. Because I could use train to get directly into the italian alps. Location near the slopes, friendliness of reception staff. No queues at lifts. Location Easy access on bus route. Bardonecchia is lacking the shopping center - so I'd recommend to visit Briancon in France (beautifull 30 km of drive accross mountains). The only small problem we had - is that the rooms are cleaned once a week. Very busy during half term. Restaurants start dinner at 7 pm, not great if your child is used to eating earlier. Some of the staff might benefit from a bit of customer service training. beds are very uncomfortable,spa is a bit expensive,no internet. No supermarket in Campo Smith, pathjs a bit slippery with ski boots on. No local supermarket During weekdays, most bars closed pretty early (20:00ish). Many skiiers without control, easy to be mowed down from behind. Had to pay extra for the spa,. Staff did not exist because I was in gap between ski and summer season. I had to go to another hotel and get them to call and locate a staffer to get me and give me a key and show me to my room. After that staff did not exist. Not a big deal after I got in as I was just there to hike for a few days in the alps. Looked like a prison camp. Apartments in poor state of repair and very basic. Facing hanging off outside of apartment door and no balcony rail, it had been removed so other guests used the area to knock snow off etc making it noisy. Ground floor apartment noisy with communal entrance. Only one toilet roll for three days. Self catering facilities can definitely improve i.e. no washbasin plug, no microwave, internal heating not constant, no kettle. Very noisy, especially Friday and Saturday nights. Requires general upkeep and maintenance.
