The current owners couldn't be more open and helpful - Alessandro has a wealth of knowledge of the history of the town and the region despite being there for less than a year. We were made to feel completely at home such that in the even - Montecarlo is a charming walled village with a number of very good restaurants. One fine dining restaurant is in the Michelin guide, the Pizzeria on the terrace overlooking the countryside is great and so is the little Trattoria. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived and the hosts were really helpful. The room was great, furnishings are classic and there are antique pieces in the various public rooms, we also liked the artistic touches with flowers and furnishings painted onto walls.
