2-minutes walk to nice beach with pure water free parking friendly and helpful staff safe area in Tel Aviv close proximity to everything even though this is a hostel, the private rooms are pretty good good security policy - no guests are allowed. period. so, there are no hookers and no strange noises at night. Great value for the money. My room was clean and well kept with a nice balcony facing the street. Perfect location and a very helpful staff was a big plus for me. More than adequate for a backpacker like myself or solo traveller. I will visit Momo's again.
all reviews » It's easy to find and set in a prime location in the heart of Tel Aviv. I loved that it was just 2 minutes from the beach and provided excellent access to all the places I wanted to go to. Cheap beer and super fast FREE Wi-Fi were nice extras. The location was good, the staff was good, close to the beach and near supper markets. showers were fine & clean bed sheets Basically was OK to stay there. Great social experience and lots of chance to make friends. All the restaurants and bars nearby plus the pristine beaches. I loved the personal touch of the staff. They were so helpful and friendly. All I needed was a minute walk from Momo's. the staff were very freindly and very helpful, always more than happy to help you. Can be hot if your room does not have a/c. Smart to bring a portable fan or pick one up at a nearby shop. Can be a bit noisy at night. Bringing along a set of ear plugs is not a bad idea. The heat of June (the air condition wasn't reallly helpful) Too many noises from the street. Nowhere to park. Few parking options in the area. A bit overpriced There was a cockroach in our bathroom. Can be a bit noisy at times. Only a not good fan no air condition. Noisy outside, but we were on a main street. So it's convenience vs peace and quiet. The hotel is run down, and needs a good cleaning!. No hot water at night. Very weak wifi access point - it doesn't even reach the second floor. The price issue is not a unique feature of Momo's, it's the same for the whole hotel/hostel market. Momo's just no exception. I chose it for being the cheapest, and still, if I lived there permanently, I would be paying as much as 70% of my stipend (which is pretty high) for a tiny room in which I could hardly find a place for my bag. Small rooms (very). No breakfast. the hostel took more money from the credit card, than it was stated on the site... the reason is that, not being Israeli citizen, I did't have to pay VAT, but was obliged to do that... so you should be ready to pay 17% more than expected... It is dirty. The dorms are hot and poorly organized. The door is almost always open so leaving personal things was risky. Disorganized system of assigning beds, my things were moved from my bed, and someone slept in it while I was gone. Smashed and not so pure doss house. The room was freezing cold!. There is no air condition in the rooms and it can be very hot. The beds are very uncomfortable. Rather dirty and with poor maintenance, very noisy rooms from the street site. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Good for young travelers with small wallet in the expensive city tel aviv but nothing else. There was a huge, disgusting cockroach in our room.The room and shower was totally dirty and ugly. Wifi was not working on laptop at all, even the water is contagious, we had fever after that.I Would not recommend it to anyone even for students. Night Club near the hostel. Sleeping is impossible!.
