hotel was very clean. Staff were very plesant.. Beds were very comfortable..Kids club was fantastic lovely surroundings. Wil be back very soon. the view over looking the lake as i was only ther for one night as a wedding gust ,looking fordward to going back. The location was spectacular, the facilities were superb and the staff were courteous and friendly. Staff were very plesant and friendly. We only had one night but weenjoyed it.Thank you.Rory.

Bar food indicated in room information as available until 9.00pm, but arriving at 8.05 advised that service finished (even though main restaurant still open) - new times for winter season. After discussion, bar manager obtained agreement from kitchen to provide food.We were not all that keen on the resturant menu,we felt that there was more choice and value for money in the bar meals. bar food could have been better. Drink prices were dear in bar. Smokers during weddings on the Saturday 25rth Oct.were using main outside door entrance to smoke;. the partition walls were not thick enough so I could hear people moving about next door.Quilted spread on bed was badly stained creating a very bad impression. also white duvet cover underneath quilted spread had lots of black marks. Stain on carpet outside en-suite door. Conference lunch on 21/2/08 was very poor. Some of the carpets on the stairwell were worn. In order to get to Rooms , we had to go through the Bar - The Rooms need a revamp. carvery lunch was poor, put me off having dinner there.when we first arrived we were checked into a room right beside the lift shaft which was so noisey we requested a change of room. we were then moved to a room with no heating, it was freezing obiviously had'nt been heated in weeks.we had to make our way to reception again to make them aware of this, we were then moved to a room with twin beds when we had requested a double bed. Few niggly things spoiled the stay. Dinner was included in the price. 2 nights B and B and 1 dinner. On web said Dinner at 6 arrived starving and couldn't get dinner even in bar. until 7.30 and then only after speaking to manager. 2 weddings in hotel [excuse] staff not really interested in us, got the impression they wished we were not there. lovely [not cheap] weekend spoiled. us in bad mood.Yes. The hotel needs updating. The lobby is gorgeous but the hotel itself is very dated.
