The landlady was lovely. I was heading out with colleagues for dinner and wasn't able to check in until late in the evening. The landlady met me at the front door with my keys, took my luggage, and wished me well for the evening. I was very impressed with such a level of hospitality. The whole area and the building itself had a great atmosphere. Helped by the fact that it was Bloomsday! Room and service were friendly and efficient. Very tidy and nicely laid out sea front for walking and relaxing.

The usual welcome we got from Margret. We have stayed there several times before. 'Lady' even welcomed us - the dog. my single room was small but very clean and the bed was fine so it suited me perfectly - good value for money. excellent breakfast very warm and cosy, owners very helpful and friendly clean good location. The family room slept 6 - but in 3 double-beds: not ideal for the kids!. The room had an odd smell to it. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The shower/toilet was a tiny bit smaller than it could have been The free coffee/sugar/milk was not replenished so I had none on the second night. Beautiful old terraced house in desperate need of a revamp.The gothic dining room was very odd!. Hard beds Mold in showers Decor is very outdated. Bathroom not cleaned (just toilet cleaner squirted into the toilet bowl), clean towels not replaced and decor very dated. House needs a makeover. Very tired decor, but cluttered. Rooms very basic, but spacious enough. Bathroom very small. I was unable to contact a member of staff when I had a query about my room. The unsightly way in which the kitchen door appeared to be permanently open. The poor car praking arrangements. the premises need a full interior update. room very cold.
