all reviews » Kenanga was amazing. The staff was friendly, the food was excellent and the location was just right. It was quiet but still walkable to Ubud's center. The small boutique made us feel like we were the only ones there. It was perfect. Very friendly staff. Breakfast/lunch/dinner is very good. Bedroom and bathroom are very comfortable, big and clean and cosy. Swimming pool is very clean and big. Nice view over the rice fields. In one word: perfect. this is a very beautiful Hotel! the stuff cleaned our room to time all the days, very quiet at the day, a awesome landscape, in the evening we liked to the natural sounds from the Frogs, Grills and birds…. Ubud is an interesting place to visit. Far more cultural and traditional than the southern coastal towns. The staff's English skills were a little lacking. It was sometimes hard to describe what activities we wanted to do. This meant we did not get to do all the things we planned while in Ubud. Nothing. The noise of the rotary hoe in the rice field. It's not really a negative comment but they should intensify the shuttle service. The internet service was terrible, worked on one device and not another. We did not get a room with view on the rice fields which was a shame. The restaurant does not fully hold what it's sleek design and gourgous setting promises. The hotel is quite far from Ubud center so you have to take a taxi (note on the plus side: there is a free shuttle service into Ubud every hour). Limited shuttle bus service. The shower water didn't get hot. After we checked out, there were no other showers to use - we were told we could possibly use the showers in another room but felt bad for housekeeping. I can not think of anything. Towels were not changed although requested, same towels were folded and put back!. Once, the housekeeping staff entered my room without knocking on the doors. the cheap hairdryer. other than that, no complaints on the bathroom amenities. No DVD player available Internet really slow Noise transferred from other rooms. Quite a distance from central ubud and shuttle transport is not as frequent. everything.
