Everything! The moment I arrived at Bagus Homestay I felt at home. The owner is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and includes a plate with fresh fruit every day. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. My room was big and so was my terrace. Bagus Homestay is on a hill so the view is very nice and it's quiet and peaceful, you only hear the sounds of nature. Beautiful garden surroundings. Some of the rooms have fridges and a bathtub. Only 5 minutes walk to the ma. all reviews »
What a nice place! Yes it is basic, but considering the room fare basic plus plus! Nice folks, beautiful garden in a compound, every room has its own porch with quite some privacy overlooking these gardens (very handy in rain seaon!), brilliant abundant breakfast, good wifi, hot water, big comfy rooms that are cleaned every day, so close to everything but oh so quiet (besides some nice geckos and crickets:)), etc. etc. No, it does not have a pool nor airco but you don't need those. I.m.h.o. an.
Great place to stay, set in a mini-village just off the main road so you feel like you're seeing real Bali but you're just a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The room was huge and very comfortable, breakfast was amazing (big plate of fresh fruit and banana pancake/toast/banana on toast etc alternated daily). The owner was very friendly and I loved staying here.
Huge clean room , with kitchenette and large bathroom. Beautiful view in traditional Bali family compound. Comfy bed, private terrace. Huge breakfast that varies everyday , delicious platter of fresh mixed fruits. 4 minute walk from Ubud palace and the market great location. Huge windows. Quiet. Extended stay for 11 days.
Comfortable rooms located in front of a nice garden. A very nice family run environment, that gives the feeling of living the local life somehow. A good breakfast including fruits served at the room patio every morning.
The garden is beautiful. The room was big. Hot water. Pretty good
pressure. The breakfast was big and delicious and different everyday.
The family was warm and welcoming. Planned on two days and stayed 5.
The owner and staff were friendly. Location good, 5 min walk to city centre. The unit was large and clean with a small kitchen. Great base for short and medium term visitors to the area.
Lovely big airy rooms, great breakfasts and fairly quiet considering we are in the middle of a jungle. The family were very nice and respectful of our privacy.
It is quiet, clean, nice looking room an courtyard within a short walk of one of the main steets in Ubud. You also get an excellent breakfast every morning.
We love this place. Because of the location and the fact that you live
in the middle of local familys. Service is great and so is breakfast.
Nice family, very nice rooms, hot water, vey nice breakfast, vey good location 3 mins walk to center, and very good price. What else?.
The family were so incredibly welcoming. A beautiful home-stay within walking distance of everything Ubud has to offer.
- friendly owner
- surrounding and neighbourhood
- in the town's centre
- clean
- good value.
Nice bungalow, lovely garden around, private breakfast on terrace.
Looks really bali
Owner friendly
Really clean
Location good.
the value for money is perfect!.
Breakfast. Amazing rooms.
The room was spacious with soaring ceilings and beautiful views. It had a kitchen and a large verandah. The site itself was very pretty and fantastic value for money.
Loads of pricacy also means hardly any mingling (but that's a general Ubud thing I reckon...).
Only negative was being woken at 4am daily by lots of noisy cockerels, but I'm a light sleeper and it's always better than staying right in Ubud centre and being woken by traffic.
Cannot dislike anything at this price!.
A little challenge to initially find the homestay once you get into the
compound but I can't say that's a reason to not like a place.
Once you Get in, go to the right then follow to the left on the speckled
path... Then to the right and up the stairs.
The kitchen had a 2 x plate burner but there were no utensils provided for preparing or eating food.
We arrived quite late and it was dark. We saw the sign and got the taxi to drop us off. From there it was very inconvenient to find the place as you had to climb the stairs to a dark area inhabited by other people, take care you didn't fall in the mud and then the helpful neighbours finally pointed to where we were to go. More signage would definitely help to point your way to this lovely place.
The place could be cleaner.
There is humidity smell in the room when you close the windows at night, and soem noice during night..
- noisy in the morning (dogs and roosters), but that is common in Asia, don't forget the earplugs.
To find this hotel for the first time is not easy.
Bathroom really need update too old.
the are lots of roosters and dogs around the hotel - sometimes very loud!.
There is a communication problem due tony inability to speak Indonesian. For this reason there was a misunderstanding with the booking and I had to leave early.
