Staff: The guy at the reception spoke English very well and was very friendly. Facilities: Nice (but cold) swimmingpool. Location: we used Watu Dodol as an upgrade alternative to both the hotels around Baluran NP entrance and Banyuwangi. It was convenient to visit both sites from Watu Dodol. Value for money, good restaurant and professionally run.
all reviews Excellent views on the Javanese Coast Great, helpfull staff Good local food. The location of the hotel right next to the sea. The pool overlooks the sea and gives a feel of infinity pool. The bathroom was beautifully designed (open roof). nice and quiet place at the seaside perfect to relax. Staff: The waiters in the restaurant spoke only Bahasa Indonesia, and the menu was not translated. There is not really a beach, just a seafront. Rooms are somewhat outdated; however the manager is planning renovations so in the future this should be upgraded. No wifi in the rooms or reception Bit far from the town (but quite close to the Ketapang Harbour) Communication - it was extremely difficult to converse in English as most staff had very very basic understanding of English. there is nothing around this place. except the hotel and the restaurant. during low season there is only few guests.
