Being a first time traveller to India on business, choosing The Royal Court Hotel - New Delhi, was the best decision I made for my trip. They picked me on time from the airport. I had booked their best rooms, The Royal Suite and paid total 25,000 inr for 2 nights there. The best was the (lovely) room. Great value for my money. 2 Way Airport Transfers, Free WiFi, Complimentary Business Centre use, I also used their compimentary Steam, Perfume Bath. The English buffet breakfast - with very courte.
all reviews » Location was so good for getting around Delhi. Could walk to may locations--or one block from metro station--or take a motorized rickshaw from just outside the gate. Coming back to the hotel was like coming into a refuge--quiet and calm. Also, the breakfast was wonderful and lasted thur dinner!. I like it because they provide service very good. The staff was amazing... Specially front office staff: Rittu and room services vikram. Both are verry friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a good swimming pool and good restaurants. Excellent service with highly trained professional staff. Check in was fast and very convenient. Value for money. the ambience ,cleanliness,well trained staff and safety especially for a single traveller. I liked that it was a clean and secure hotel. It offers two dinning options. the location was perfect and the staff was good and cooperative. We enjoyed the pool and the 2 very different restaurants. WIFI - We paid for a room with WIFI everyday we complained as we couldn't get signal and when we did only one user at a time. They wouldn't refund the additional paid only offered a credit on our next stay. Repeat customer and our room was miniscule. Had to go into the bathroom to open the room door. it was the 3rd time we had stayed there and each time the room (deluxe king) got smaller and smaller. Would probably not stay there again. 2 small beers and a gin and tonic came to over 2000 rupees which was extortionate!. Food. nothing. silence. Noisy a/c in the room, room a bit too small. price. Check in formalities as letsbookhotel.com send confirmation with delay. Double room very small and no good space for even luggage bag. Bathrooms are very old and no good maintenance. Price high for food & drinks. Up market look bout the hotel not matched by general cleanliness of room, wifi should have been free based on accommodation cost. - room was noisy (could hear a strong noise of water from the other rooms) - internet was not working 24 hours - staff made us pay something more during check out without specifying the details of what we were paying - room keys were not always working - restaurant extremely expensive. the shower just did not work water at ankle height, ended up with athlete feet, germs, complained nothing was done, cost me money for doctors , cannot walk breakfast Ok , nothing wow wi fi should be free. However when you boo through agents like makemytrip, letsbookhotel.com etc they give you the smallest available room which is a very bad attitude. Old decor and furnishing Bathroom old Tasteless decor. Stinky smell from ac guct forced me to change the room. Need to improve the housekeeping services. It was below expectations. Real Deluxe room has nothing to do with the pictures shown in the elevators, it is very small and with bad smell. Laundry had to be claimed twice. The restaurant and the bar prices are crazy. It was one of the most expensive hotel we have been. We stayed one night there and at the end of the day we paid 18000 for room rate 7000, 5000 for just a normal dinner for two, and breakfast 4000!!! The rest taxes and so on. I rather be in a 5 star hotel and even pay more and enjoy more. quality of food and limitation of menu. not much choice. no proper range / network for cell phone in room. 1. wi-fi must be free for guests! If I buy 1 hour it is not 50 minutes.... 2. In Onix bar whiskey mixing twice with water. It's only 30g - all europeans feel it! 3. every day in our window we saw the man hanging outside the window with the repair buckets on 15th floor. It's uncomfortable. They charge incredible expensive fee for WI-FI. that is horrible!!!. Generally speaking it is not a good hotel. Rooms are very small and you feel comfortable only when staying in suite (Royal or Oxford). For Europeans nothing (but fruit) to eat for breakfast. Be careful whe finaizing your bill!!! Check it carefully!. Room was terrible. Considering you are paying more than a months salary for the manager in one night, you expect a decent bed not a sofa bed!. Everything !!!!. many things seemed working poorly staff seemed to be very busy - had to remind that i have asked smth. Expensive internet. the twin club room was tiny and cramped. there was no sofa. switch for light was behind the pillow. there was no iron or ironing arrangement. shower drainage was poor and flooded on taking shower. facilities was poor and equivalent to a single star hotel corridor was narrow and no sign existed for emergency evacuation/situation . I booked deluxe roomand paid for deluxe room. but hotel allot me standard room.i stayed at standard room it is not good. I was assigned Room No 1116 when I had made request for room no ending with 09 on any floor. After entering the room I found that the room was meant for handicapped . I could gather at checkout that they allot a lower grade room for persons booking accommodation through your website. Rooms are very small, had some broken furniture and the bathroom was not clean. Pictures are misleading, what you see is not what you get. Staff was rude and incompetent. I visit Delhi regularly and you can get much better places in the same price range. Uncomfortable, run down rooms. Poorly managed. Hated every minute there. -attitude of hotel staff is not very nice, very rigid and not cooperative. Perfectly like government style. - we dont need customer attitude - very small rooms.
